Introduction to Fused Glass Workshop

Learn fused glass basics at this hands-on class in Wimborne

3 hours Class size 1 to 10     label £65

Discover the art of glass fusing in this vibrant workshop at your teacher Linda's home studio in Cranborne or Walford Mill Crafts. In this introduction to fused glass experience, you’ll learn how to create your own glass art designs in a fun and supportive environment.

This class runs for three hours, meaning you'll have plenty of time for making! Within that time, you'll learn simple techniques to cut glass and design your own projects. Don't worry if you're a complete beginner, we'll take you through the process step-by-step.

You will make three designs during the workshop, including a small suncatcher. Next, we'll show you how to craft a coaster or picture-sized design.

We'll look at the process of kiln-formed glass and learn techniques so you can cut and make your own, however, you are also welcome to use Linda’s templates and pre-cut shapes as well as incorporate metals, granules and glass beads to add texture.

Your designs will be ready to collect 10 days after the session or they can be posted to you for an additional cost of £8.
