I am a fluid artist based in Poole, Dorset. My paintings flow with the seasons and depict landscapes, seascapes and wild flowers. I use a combination of techniques, including fluid art and brush work, drawing inspiration from the wonderful area in which I live, from the seashore to the soft rolling hills that surround Dorset.

My art conveys a calmness and whilst fluid art is often abstract, I use various techniques to achieve wonderful effects, working with the shapes and patterns this creates, I use brushes to add depth and detail, transforming it into a landscape or seascape.

I have always been drawn to creativity, as soon as I could pick up a pencil and began to draw. I studied art and graphics in the late 1980’s, in the days of drawing boards and thick Pantone markers, conveying an idea onto paper was manditory. Drawing, understanding colour, composition, typography, photography and print have been the foundation of my career as an artist.

Bio
In 2018 I took a teaching qualification in order to deliver workshops from my studio in Dorset and in 2020 I set up a YouTube channel to record my journey into the world of Fluid Art.

I began painting full time during COVID, taking part in Dorset Arts Week and exhibiting at various events including Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival.

In September 2023 along with Chris Schneider and Monique Oliver I helped organise and deliver the first UK Fluid Art Event, which was a huge success, teaching pearl pours. We now are now in the process of organising our very first UK Fluid Art Retreat.
