Affordable London floristry courses from £30
Ready to dive into the world of floral arrangements but worried about the cost? Don’t stress! Floristry courses in London are surprisingly pocket-friendly, starting from just £30 – and that covers your venue, professional tuition, and all the materials.
Here are a few of the ClassBento team’s favourite budget-friendly picks for floristry classes in London to get you started:
- Terrarium workshop in Bethnal Green – £30: Build your own self-sustaining mini ecosystem using moss, succulents, and activated charcoal inside a glass jar. It’s a brilliant, low-cost way to get your hands dirty and leave with something that genuinely lasts.
- Fresh flower hand tied bouquet workshop in Deptford – £50: Master the classic spiral technique using seasonal cut stems, turning simple flowers into a professional-looking arrangement. Ideal for gifting or brightening up your flat, with zero experience needed
- Dried flower crown making in Shepherd's Bush – £50: A brilliant pick for groups, hen parties, or birthday celebrations. Using long-lasting dried pampas, strawflowers, and wire frames, you'll craft a boho headpiece that you can keep forever.
Why it’s worth the splurge: These prices cover your venue, a professional teacher, and all the quality materials – good flowers aren't cheap! It’s a similar price point to our tufting or jewellery making classes, but with floristry, you get the added bonus of some natural aromatherapy while you work. So, if you've been scouring the internet for a ‘floristry course near me’, grab a ticket today and let your creativity bloom!
5 best floristry classes in London for beginners
ClassBento’s workshops are often beginner-friendly and led by expert florists who'll guide you step-by-step through every technique. It's not about being perfect – it's about having a laugh, getting creative, and making something lovely.
Here are the ClassBento team’stop picks:
- Seasonal wreath making: Whether it’s a festive fir wreath for Christmas or a dried flower ring for spring, this is the ultimate group activity. Decorate with dried oranges, eucalyptus, or satin ribbons – and take home a door-worthy masterpiece. Perfect for corporate team building events and Christmas parties.
- Hand-tied bouquet workshop: A chilled, beginner-friendly weekend workshopwhereyou’ll learn the simple spiral technique using fresh, seasonal stems. A low-effort way to create a stunning, personal gift – or just a treat for your own coffee table.
- Flower crown workshop: Brilliant for hen parties or birthday groups, you’ll work with colourful blooms and wire frames to create a gorgeous wearable accessory. A whimsical and completely beginner-friendly floristry class you'll genuinely love.
- Terrarium making: Think of it as "gardening for lazy people" – build a tiny, self-sustaining ecosystem in a jar using pebbles, moss and ferns. It's fiddly fun that requires zero previous plant knowledge.
- Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging): For a truly calming vibe, try Ikebana classes in London – the ancient Japanese art of mindful floral placement using kenzan (pin frogs), minimalist branches, and single-stem arrangements. If you love the meditative side of our pottery painting classes, you'll love the quiet intention of this ancient art form.
What beginner students are saying:
"Had a wonderful and relaxing time with Amulet at this flower arranging course. Love that all flowers are sourced locally and can change every week! Amulet gave suggestions about other floristry activities we could try and was so supportive and helpful during the course. Walked away feeling like I had actually learned a new skill. I have newfound respect for florists!" — Abigail Pang, Floristry Class - Farm-To-Table Bouquet
