If you've been looking for a relaxing, mindful craft to help you get into a more meditative state of mind, come along and get a taste of ikebana at this Japanese flower arranging class in South London.
In this class, you will make one basic-style arrangement following the curriculum of Ohara School of Ikebana, one of the three major Ikebana schools in Japan. You will learn some tips on how to create your own masterpiece beautifully.
Ikebana has a lot of rules and etiquette, beginning with composition up until the completion, and even beyond. You will be impressed with the depth of one of the Japanese traditional arts.
An experienced Japanese Ikebana Master, Hanako, brings out your creativity in order for you to enjoy expressing yourself in the relaxed ambience of this intimate class. Getting closer to nature and soaking up the nuances of both traditional and modern Japanese culture helps you to get rid of your stress, and you'll take the positive energy home with you along with the beautiful arrangement you've made.

I am an Ikebana Master.
My flower career started when I was 19 years old. I became a florist after graduation.
I was eager to be an expert on Floristry, so 25 years ago I knocked on the door of one of the traditional Japanese arts.
Ikebana looks very simple, but because of that, it is very difficult to express the beauty as much as possible in the limited space.
I can see my life in Ikebana.
A world spread from a main stem is like my life.
So is yours.
My lesson leads you to express your world in a tiny container.
