Elevate your sewing skills with a personalised 1:1 pattern drafting lesson. Whether you want to create your own blocks specific to your measurements for perfect fitting garments or learn more complicated pattern cutting techniques, this tailored private lesson is designed to meet your unique goals.
Learn how to translate your design visions into real life garments. Jen is an experienced designer and pattern cutter, who will guide you through the steps of creating blocks or patterns from scratch, empowering you with the knowledge and skills to bring your creative ideas to life.
With individual attention and expert guidance, you'll explore various pattern drafting techniques based on your own goals, whether that's basic shapes or more intricate designs.
Embrace the opportunity to learn at your own pace, ask questions, and receive personalised feedback that caters to your skill level.
This can be a one-off class or create your own course by booking in for a number of weeks. It's up to you! Get in touch to discuss your goals and suggest dates that work for you.
Hosted upstairs in the fashion studio with a large cutting table. A venue with step free access is also available by request.

Prior experience using patterns will provide a perfect starting point.

The Studio is well serviced by lots of bus routes: 1, 4, 5, 19, 26, 34, 35, 44, 45, 113, 124, X5, X6, X7. A small car park is available. Abbeymount is an old Victorian building and the studio is accessed by stairs.

I am a sustainable fashion designer from Dublin, now based in Edinburgh. I studied Fashion Design in Ireland before coming to Scotland to do a Masters in Sustainable & Ethical Fashion.
My work uses exclusively vintage and reclaimed materials in a bid to showcase the beauty of reuse!
I really enjoy teaching people and sharing in the joy of creating, upcycling and making unique pieces.
