What you'll do
Discover the fun and beauty of willow weaving in this basket making class, fully guided by a friendly and experienced teacher.
Over this full day of weaving, you will make this unusual yet stunning yin yang basket with a rustic handle. All the basket weaving supplies will be provided, including different naturally coloured willows for you to use.
You will pick up plenty of weaving techniques and combine the different willow together to make a base that is one-of-a-kind. Your finished basket creation is perfect as a DIY home decor item, a unique and useful shopper, and even a handmade gift for your loved ones.
This craft workshop is mobile and can bring the joy of basket making to your home, ideal for a birthday party or fun day with friends!

Using traditional methods to create contemporary design Green Spiral Willow is all about using willow to create stunning woven items.
Green Spiral Willow was created by Yanina Stockings. After growing up in the highlands of Scotland, she was surrounded by the ancient Caledonian pine forest where she takes a lot of inspiration. She has a BSc Hons in conservation and sustainability is very important to her.
All the willow and rush supplied in her classes are sourced from the south of England and she tries to harvest her own locally. This helps her bring the ancient rural craft of weaving to everyone in an eco-friendly way!
