7 hours Class size 1 to 8     label £300 - £400 per class (£300 per 1-4 guests, £400 per 5-8 guests)

Bring some creativity to your day with the interesting and satisfying craft of basket weaving.

Your expert weaving teacher guiding the session will show you how to weave your own Polish basket using English willow. Not only will you be picking up weaving teachings, but you'll also learn how willow is grown, harvested and processed.

To make your basket truly unique, you will select a personalised combination of willows with varying colours and textures. Finishing up the class with a very individual and unusual basket you made by hand.

All the basket making materials you need will be provided by your teacher. It can even come right to your door if you and your friends are looking for things to do in Bournemouth or Poole as this craft workshop is mobile.

Using traditional methods to create contemporary design Green Spiral Willow is all about using willow to create stunning woven items.

Green Spiral Willow was created by Yanina Stockings. After growing up in the highlands of Scotland, she was surrounded by the ancient Caledonian pine forest where she takes a lot of inspiration. She has a BSc Hons in conservation and sustainability is very important to her.

All the willow and rush supplied in her classes are sourced from the south of England and she tries to harvest her own locally. This helps her bring the ancient rural craft of weaving to everyone in an eco-friendly way!
