  • 5/5 from Marguerite Corner, attended Nov 2024: Shauna, the teacher was excellent, a very nice lady. Everything was prepared for us on arrival. My daughter and I had a wonderful time doing the Acrylic Paint Pouring class. I have bought more paints etc to do more at home. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Susan Rostron, attended Oct 2024: Good messy fun! Great equipment provided. We do a hobbycraft workshop again. Tutor gave clear instructions
  • 3/5 from Debbie Angell, attended Oct 2024: Teacher was friendly but I don't think she was very knowledgeable, I've learnt more watching you tube. We were only shown 1 method when we were expecting 2. The materials were supplied and did the job, I liked them but do not having anything to compare them with it's hard to say, but I would of probably brought the kit if I saw it on the shelf. We learnt paint pouring. I originally thought the course was good value but on collection. I was just told to go and collect the art, I had nothing to carry them in and the majority had stuck to the boxes we were advised to leave them on. Due to my arthritis I was not strong enough to pull them off. Some of the canvas have bubbled, we were not advised of this nor told how to stop this and therefore are useless and most of the 7 made have curled. Seeing your next question how likely am I to recommend workshops it's hard to say as we've only been to one. I would not recommend this one but it would probably not put me tring something different.
  • 5/5 from Dawn Mobbs, attended Jun 2024: This was a birthday gift for an arty friend. We had tried acrylic pouring before with limited success. The kit provided was a lively gift as well as the coaster blanks to do later. It was really helpful not to have to try to bring home wet canvasses. We are looking forward to collecting them when dry. A really lovely afternoon. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Julie Bushell, attended Mar 2024: Very good class, and materials. Very enjoyable and good teacher who didn’t rush us. I feel the class was good value for money and I would attend another course.
  • 5/5 from Gemma Woodhouse, attended Mar 2024: We did a privately booked acrylic pouring workshop that I arranged for my boyfriend's birthday. Our teacher Nate was great, she was friendly and took the time to chat and get to know us. She didn't rush us even after our time had finished, and she stayed with us until we were ready to go. She was very helpful. It felt a bit weird doing it at a table right in the middle of the shop, I thought it would be more like a separate room or cordoned off corner. The class was great value for money and was able to be booked at short notice. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from David, attended Mar 2024: The acrylic pouring class was x gift for my birthday, hugely enjoyable being encouraged to experiment and get messy, very happy with the results and the comments from other customers. Nate, our guide, was great, very personable and welcoming.
  • 5/5 from Jane Fazal, attended Aug 2023: We had a lovely teacher who explained everything really well. We laughed a lot and produced some beautiful coasters and canvases. A great way to spend the evening. Thank you Shauna
  • 5/5 from Kim Mills, attended Aug 2023: Brilliant fun during today’s session on acrylic pouring. Lots of different techniques very clearly demonstrated. All materials supplied as part of the class, making it excellent value Would definitely recommend and return with friends to redo
  • 4/5 from Bev White, attended Aug 2023: Teacher was good, materials were of a great standard and provided although plastic pinnies/coveralls might have been a good idea if I had known how messy I was going to get. All round good experience even though this probably was not for me I did enjoy it.
  • 5/5 from Stephanie Druce, attended Jul 2023: I thoroughly enjoyed the Acrylic Paint Pouring class. Shauna was an excellent teacher, clearly demonstrating some of the techniques, & was calm & patient. The kit provided was comprehensive, allowing us to "pour" 4 coasters & 4 pictures on board, & there was paint left over. It was great fun & I'll be having a go at home, (getting very messy of course!) The class was very good value for money
  • 5/5 from Di Groombridge, attended Jul 2023: A really great introduction to acrylic pouring! We had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our tutor was very patient and supportive. To come away with a kit as well was a real bonus We will be back! Thank you Hobbycraft!
  • 5/5 from Heather Williams, attended Jul 2023: I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and was impressed with the materials provided. It was nice that it was a small, friendly group with an enthusiastic teacher. I would say to anyone thinking about it, have a go! Do take a tray or two, or a low sided box, to put wet things in to get them home. I also had a plastic sheet in the boot of my car and managed to get it all home OK.
  • 5/5 from Stuart Bathan, attended Jul 2023: Great tutor. Great set up. Great class. Honestly, a top way to learn Acrylics in a friendly and positive way. Lovely and value for moneyincludes all materials! Highly recommend. Fabulous.

He has given me confidence and advice to try different ways of pouring paint techniques. I found the staff friendly and ready to advise on the item whereabouts in store. I definitely recommend this course and Andy too

  • 5/5 from Sadie Leohane, attended Jan 2023: Teacher was informative and fun. Materials were fantastic! Beyond what I expected - in fact so good, it encouraged me to buy more. Value for money was excellent. Would recommend on advertising course participants should be advised to bring an apron as none were provided.

  • 5/5 from Louise Ioannou, attended Nov 2022: Lovely and patient teacher, who was well prepared. Had a fun time creating something we would never had have the courage to do at home before this.

  • 5/5 from Marylyn Bristow, attended Oct 2022: Great teacher, showed us different techniques and it was interesting to see the different results. The materials provided were enough for 4 pictures, with plenty of paint remaining.
  • 4/5 from Jennie Boyt, attended Oct 2022: Was a pleasant way to spend an hour. Nice small group. Definitely need to take an apron!
  • 5/5 from Caroline Cowling, attended Aug 2022: What a great way to spend an hour or so. I learnt a new skill I hope to use in the future. Our tutor, Shauna, was super and very knowledgeable. All materials were supplied, good value for money. It was great fun to share the experience with some lovely ladies. A bit of advice, wear something that can go in the washer or take an old shirt, but just splash and enjoy! Caroline
  • 5/5 from Helen Small, attended Aug 2022: Teacher was excellent, happy to answer questions and good demos. Venue was pleasant, enough to work in. Very pleased with quality and quantity of materials provided. Would definitely recommend.
  • 4/5 from Andrea Walters, attended Aug 2022: Young girl who took the session was lovely and very patient. It was more enjoyable as there were only 2 others along with me doing the session. I was a little disappointed in that I didn't learn anything really and was hoping to get a better understanding of the whole process, but still I did enjoy myself. The box of goodies was like getting aChristmas present so that was lovely. However; much of the packaging could be done away, especially when most people recycle, there was just too much waste. The paints and supplies were excellent value for money. Recommend course for anyone with absolutely no knowledge of Acrylic Pour
  • 5/5 from Wendy Skinner, attended Jun 2022: Thoroughly enjoyed my lesson with Georgina. Felt like an 8yr old again. Great fun and so stress free. Perfect way to spend an hour at lunchtime out of my hectic life. Definitely recommend it.
  • 5/5 from Alison Riddy, attended May 2022: It was really valuable to have a go at a new craft with guidance. Like a risk-free way of just having a go. I was amazed at the kit and accessories you got for the money, was like Christmas! It was very relaxed and you could go at your own pace. Georgia was lovely and easy to talk to; it didn't feel awkward that it was just me. I did x5 mini canvases and took a larger one home to do.
  • 5/5 from Maureen Walker, attended May 2022: This class was great fun! Andy was welcoming and explained techniques well. I was lucky enough to have 1:1 tuition. The Hobbycraft kit included everything necessary for the class and I am happy with my “masterpiece “.
  • 5/5 from Sumayah Ebsworth, attended May 2022: I went to Bournemouth store for the workshop yesterday and I was the only participant so had undivivded attention from my excellent teacher. The set up in store was very thought out. Even though the box of goodies was good the teacher brought along some Hobbycraft shimmer pouring paints paints too. (Note to self to buy some of those!). The lesson was informative and fun and we both enjoyed watching the paint patterns evolve. I really enjoyed the experience. Thanks for the voucher.
  • 5/5 from Caroline Shard, attended Apr 2022: Had so much fun on this class! Georgia was great and so friendly. Enjoyed the small group on this one, and had plenty of space. Was good value and have already recommended it to a friend.
  • 5/5 from Jean Alderman, attended Apr 2022: Good fun, good teacher. The space might have been a bit tight if there were more than the 3 of us.
