What you'll do
Just like with a pointed nib, brush calligraphy involves the pressure and release of the brush to achieve the gorgeous contrast of thick and thin lines.
Our workshops are carefully structured, building up your knowledge step by step. Our worksheets teach you how to combine strokes to form letters, then turn them into words and phrases.
You'll spend time working on beautiful brush lettering templates created by our Master Calligrapher, Kirsten Burke, and enjoy getting to grips with techniques like "blending" and "bounce". Your tutor will give demonstrations as well as provide one-on-one support and troubleshoot any individual difficulties you come across.
Before you know it, you'll be creating greeting cards, party invitations, and artwork for your home and to give as gifts.
