What you'll do

Come and have fun learning the magic of silver clay transforming into solid silver jewellery in Market Bosworth near Nuneaton. You will make and take away your own solid silver jewellery pieces.

If you are looking for a brand new amazing experience and in Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, or Coventry, this fun craft workshop is ideal for you.

Silver clay is a recycled product, which when fired, becomes solid silver of Hallmark quality. This jewellery making class is ideal for beginners or experienced jewellers.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

Roll and pattern clay
Cut shapes and create moulds
Sand, drill, and prepare your piece for firing
Fire and polish
Add patinas

You'll be guided by a friendly and experienced teacher to help you make three jewellery pieces for you to treasure and take away!

Firstly, you will make a leaf pendant or earrings. Then you'll mould a small object of your choosing to turn into a charm. Lastly, you will form a pendant or charm and learn how to add texture and a gemstone. Once all your projects are ready, you will be shown how to fire and polish your pieces to be solid silver with a beautiful shine.

Knowledge required

This is a beginner-friendly class, so no experience is required. There will be full tuition and help on every aspect of jewellery design and making.

What you'll get

And of course, your jewellery items you make to take away!

What to bring

There will be close-up work, so bring appropriate glasses if required. Closed-toed footwear.

Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

I began my journey into Silver Metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best.

I hold a Higher Diploma in Silver Metal Clay and am a senior metal clay instructor and glass teacher. I have been teaching for over ten years running classes from my studio in Market Bosworth and many jewellery schools and galleries all around the Midlands area. I am a member of The Guild of Jewellers and am on the education committee of the alliance of metal clay. I also hold a Gold student choice award. One of my proudest moments was visiting Tokyo and seeing one of my pieces displayed in the Silver Accessories Exhibition.
