What you'll do

If you're big on sustainability and hate the idea of throwing plastic away unnecessarily, come along to this jewellery making class and learn how your hosts take acrylic plastic offcuts and turn them into a fabulous set of unique jewellery!.

They save all of the offcuts from their laser cutting process to create new products with a plastic upcycling process.
This is a fun and creative three-hour workshop which is ideal with a group of friends or to come along to meet new people.

In this workshop, makers will:

Learn about plastic manipulation
Design their own plastic motif
Learn how to heat press their motif to form a plastic sheet
Design their own jewellery collection
Laser-cut their plastic jewellery shapes
Attach findings to create a matching set of stunning jewellery

Sami graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 with a Ba Hons Degree in Product and Furniture Design.

Sami is a qualified Product Designer and Workshop Instructor.

Her creative practice combines digital fabrication and traditional woodwork techniques to create bespoke products.

Sami has worked as a Workshop Instructor in Schools, Colleges and Universities. She has helped numerous students bring their ideas to life using various power tools and manufacturing processes.

She has also been running her own product design business Just Lovett Design since 2018.

Sami's passion is teaching people how to be creative which is why we offer such a wide range of creative workshops.

Sami and her team teach creative workshops and corporate team building days where they teach a wide range of skills and activities to empower her students to design and make their own personalised products!

Just Lovett Workshops is a sustainably focussed Design Studio and Workshop in Farsley, Leeds.

We offer DIY Workshops, Recycled Plastic Workshops, Team Building Workshops, Creative Well-being Workshops and much more.
