Discover the enchanting world of pottery at Jasmine Pottery Studios as you dive hands-first into the pottery wheel! Create your own fantastic clay creations with expert guidance in a one or two-hour wheel throwing class.
Nestled in the heart of Wakefield city centre, inside the Riding Shopping Centre, this pottery studio offers the perfect setting for your ceramics journey.
You'll create and decorate one to two masterpieces which will then go through a thorough drying process. The talented teachers at Jasmine Pottery Studios will then bisque-fire your pieces and glaze them so you're left with a strong and beautiful finish.
This experience is tailor-made for beginners, making it ideal for date ideas in Wakefield, bonding with loved ones as a unique birthday party, or creating unforgettable memories with gift experiences. Once you've enjoyed your class, explore the city and discover the other activities in the area.
Your pot will be ready for collection in three to four weeks.
Accessibility:
The studio can accommodate wheelchairs and pushchairs but the door is not automatic so please knock and we can open that for you. Unfortunately, our toilet is not wheelchair accessible, however, The Ridings has a fully equipped toilet which is just opposite the studio.
What you'll get

Hi, I’m Naomi. I set up Jasmine Pottery Studios back in April 2019 when I fully transformed an empty shop space in Wakefield to be a fully functioning pottery studio. My love for teaching and getting my hands dirty dates back much further however, as I first started out working as a freelance tutor in adult learning delivering art and pottery workshops. It was during this time that the idea for the studio started to take shape, as I wanted to be able to share my passion for clay with as many people as possible. Children, beginners, CEOs. Everyone!
Why clay? Simple. I truly believe it can be a powerful tool for improving wellbeing, building social skills and letting your creativity soar. Luckily for me, my Partner and potter-in-crime Pepe shares the same view.
Away from the studio, I'm a mum of two boys.
