Join artist and maker Kim Searle from Darn It Workshops for a creative and hands-on metalwork class at a Touch of Craft in Ossett. During this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to create your own personalised hand stamped jewellery. From bracelets to pendants and keyrings, you'll be able to make a selection of unique pieces to take home with you.

Don't worry if you're new to metalwork - this class is designed for beginners and Kim will guide you through the entire process. You'll start by practising with different stamps, fonts, and hammers to develop your skills and confidence. Then, using copper, aluminium, and brass, you'll craft your own jewellery, adding a personal touch to each piece.

The course notes provided will serve as a handy reference, offering detailed instructions on the tools you've used and where to find them.

Step into the world of metalwork and discover the joy of creating your very own custom jewelry. This workshop is not only an opportunity to learn a new skill but also a chance to express your personal style and create something unique. Join us at a Touch of Craft in Ossett and take home your own handcrafted treasures.

Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle.

All my workshops are based on encouraging sustainability, building community and supporting attendees well-being. I am passionate about ensuring craft sessions are accessible to all, providing discounts on most courses for people on low/no incomes, seeking out venues that are wheelchair accessible and ensuring that workshops are calming with more of an emphasis on enjoyment and new skills over perfection.

I also run workshops at festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, End of the Road, Underneath the Stars, Deershed, Wychwood Cornbury, Greenbelt, Just So, Beacons, FarmFest, BeatHerder and more!

I studied BA (Hons) Textile Crafts at the University of Huddersfield, specialising in textile printing. I’ve also studied weaving, felting, bookbinding, dark room photography and fine art printing at L'Ecole des Beaux Artes at Besancon, The Academy of Design in Kuopio and Leeds University, as well as studying a range of creative techniques on a foundation course at UcCA Canterbury.
