A Class for Creative Souls
Join us for our Summer School, a fun, relaxed, and welcoming class where wonderful people come together to make beautiful things, learn new skills, laugh, and enjoy the creative process.
What You'll Make
In our classes, you’ll work mainly with silver and copper to create your own unique jewellery using traditional jewellery-making techniques.
While most students focus on jewellery, our creative space has also seen the making of window decorations, Christmas ornaments, spoons, and even napkin rings — so there's room to explore!
Suitable for All Skill Levels
Our classes are open to everyone, from absolute beginners to more experienced makers.
Beginners will start by learning essential skills like cutting, texturing, and soldering. We usually begin with a simple ring or bangle and progress to a pendant—but we’re happy to adapt to your personal ideas and pace.
Intermediate and advanced makers can either take on more challenging guided projects or design their own. After a quick chat, we’ll support you in bringing your ideas to life—whether it’s a one-off piece or a full jewellery collection. We’re also happy to offer advice and guidance on specialist techniques (some of which may require one-to-one support outside of class). If you’re unsure, just drop us an email and we’ll be happy to help.
Our Jewellery Workshop
Our studio is a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop located at Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, West Leeds. It includes a wide variety of hand tools and machines to support both beginner and advanced techniques.
Additional costs
Material costs are additional and depend on what you make:
A simple ring typically costs £5–10 in materials
A bangle may be around £15–20
Most students complete two pieces per term, depending on design complexity.
Want to work to a budget? You can design smaller or lighter pieces or use copper instead of silver. Materials are available for purchase directly from us, and you only pay for what you use.
A Thoughtful Gift for a Jewellery Lover
Our jewellery courses make a fantastic gift for anyone who enjoys working with their hands and doesn’t mind getting a little messy! They’re perfect for both total beginners and those with some prior experience.
What you'll get
  • An average of two pieces of jewellery to take home, made by you!
  • An immersive introduction into the world of jewellery making.
