What you'll do
Join a welcoming jewellery-making course in Leeds where you can make beautiful things, learn new skills, have a good laugh, and most importantly -- have fun! You’ll start with the fundamentals and gradually build your confidence and skills, with opportunities to develop more advanced techniques as you progress.Absolute beginners are very welcome, and the course is designed to support your progression over time in a creative studio environment.What to expect:
- Work primarily with silver and copper to create unique jewellery pieces.
- Learn traditional techniques including cutting, texturing, and soldering.
- Begin with simple projects such as a ring or bangle.
- Progress to more advanced guided projects as your skills develop.
- Receive support to design and create your own pieces.
- Explore the possibility of developing your own collection.
- Use a fully equipped traditional jewellery studio with a wide range of tools and machines.
- Learn in a supportive, creative and social environment.

Water Lane turns into Red Lane as you drive up it, past the big flats on the right you will see large black gates, signposted 'Sunny Bank Mills', this is our car park! There is usually ample visitor spaces but if it is full, you can park on the road just beyond the black gates instead. If it is after 5pm you can park in any space in the car park.
Your teacher
Emma has 23 years experience as a professional jeweller and 20 as a teacher of traditional jewellery workshop skills. She is still ‘at the bench’ every day, designing her own collections and working on bespoke pieces for clients. Emma first appeared on your TV screens as a competitor on BBC2, on ‘All That Glitters’ (series 2), a competition/talent show for jewellers, hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan.
