Her mother is a Kimono specialist and her late father developed traditional tea rooms for his clients. She started practicing the tea ceremony as a way of understanding traditional Japanese culture. Since then, studying and practicing the tea ceremony has become a major part of her life’s work, and her mission is to introduce the art of tea to global audiences.

I have the tea-tasting workshop 4 stars (instead of 5) because there was a lot of ambient noise which carried in though the open doors. I had to focus very hard to hear what Keiko (the teacher) was saying. It wasn't easy.

Yes, it would have been impractical to shut the doors because the workshop took place in the same room which also housed two additional stalls selling various items as well as hot tea/snacks, but, as a result, the constant noise made the workshop somewhat less enjoyable.

Due to the space doubling as a shop, there was quite a bit of foot traffic which I also found distracting.

Otherwise, the workshop was very good and Keiko came across as friendly and knowledgeable. She also answered all the questions the participants had for her and didn't rush us.

The sweet treat was delicious too.

I'd say it's good value for money.
