Throughout the year, Hobbycraft host a variety of workshops in stores and online, designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite. Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.
Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

My 9 year old said- I loved it, very therapeutic. My 11 year old said- Great fun. They couldn’t believe an hour had passed. They were complete beginners.
So much better than a fidget toy. They’ve learnt a new skill and they can make something, what’s not to like. The teacher- Lynette was inspiring and very patient with them, a great teacher. Thank you.

Lovely class for my daughter, ended up with just her so was a one to one session. She loves these classes you hold.

The instructor Jodie was lovely and calm with all the children.
The children enjoyed using the different coloured clay & additional materials- eyes & feathers.
Jodie was very helpful with ideas and suggestions.
Maybe next time they could use a variety of tools i.e. clay cutters

Yes, the class was so worth the money. My 11 year old said, ‘It was cheap and amazing.’
My 9 loved the fact she could be creative and make two animals in the half hour class.

Hi Team, I attended the one on one session with Lynnette. She is very kind and patient to teach me the basic crochet stitches.
I was given all the required materials for the workshop with reading material.
The one hour session was very useful. I am completely satisfied with the classes.

As a life long knitter I wanted to be able to crochet but I couldn’t get going as my tension was too tight. I booked a lesson with Lynette who took me through getting the correct tension and taught me to do double and triple crochet stitches. At the end of the hour I understand where I was going wrong and left with a new skill. Lynette is an amazing teacher, very talented and encouraging. I would recommend anyone wanting to brush up or learn a new skill to book a one to one. I left the store with a yarn and a hook (same as what I was taught with), a huge smile, a sense of achievement and best of all, the confidence to crochet with my new skill. 10/10

Our workshop was done by Beth, she was lovely! Very smiley made us feel welcome. And made time to speak to all the children and their parents. She gave good clear instructions which were easy to follow, my three year old had a brilliant time. My 9 year old who has autism really enjoyed the workshop. It was calm and quiet, and she was able to follow Beth's instructions. There was a great range of options and different beads and buttons to choose from.

Lovely class today. Very friendly staff. Great half term activities and low cost. We made the rainbow cloud with air clay.

Poster painting was very good value for money. We went to the Southport class which was taken by Jodie who was helpful, friendly and patient. My granddaughter really enjoyed her experience, as did Bruno, her classroom bear - well done Hobbycraft!
