Had just bought myself a sewing machine and as an absolute beginner booked a one to one to learn the basics.
Emma was friendly, encouraging and patient. She spent time taking me through all the different aspects of the machine, which was incredibly helpful to get those little tips that aren’t in the manual but will save me a lot of time.
Then helped me to explore the different options on the machine and how they combine to get different results.
It was just what I wanted, an introduction to using a machine which has given me the confidence to go away and try more myself.
Highly recommend if you need any help regardless of your level I’m sure they’ll be able to give you a boost in your hobby.

There was no special occasion but my wife and I wished to learn the basic process of acrylic pouring. Our teacher was young and I think this may have been a first or second time she had taken a class. The venue was good, as were the materials provided and it was good value for money. As the girl instructing us seemed to be following a basic guide, the class was not as good as it could have been but this was not down to the girl but to the amount of knowledge she had been given. We learned that the pouring paint should be thinner for better results and the base we put on the tiles should be a carrier and not the white paint included in the set. It was still a good introduction to acrylic paint pouring.
To improve, the teacher needs more knowledge herself.

the class was really wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the teacher was absolutely charming however we suggested tips and ideas that made it more practical than what she instructed, ie lifting the slippery tiles onto a tray then later lifting them again onto a cup, and also we were told to pour the white tube onto the tile first as this was to help the paint stick however we later realised that this was not a pouring medium and was white paint.
We suggested using the cup the tiles were on while being painted to move to the drying tray to avoid finger marks etc. the materials and workshop was excellent value for money, thank you

I've just bought a secondhand Cricut maker 3 machine and wanted some guidance my design space. In particular I wanted a lesson on making hexagons in both card and material foe my English paper piecing quilt. Tom was a great teacher and now it's all so much easier. I'm now enquiring about another lesson for something else.

My 2 granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. All the materials were supplied and there was a great variation of decorative elements that they used to make their Easter bonnets. The teacher was very good; she was calmly encouraging and she allowed the girls to be free with their designs. I will definitely book more children’s workshops with Hobbycraft Bromborough.

Not overly hands on. Given instructions and the relevant colours whereas I thought we would have been shown what to do. Could have purchased the materials myself and done it but probably would have cost more with material that wasn't used so good value for money in that sense.

Very impressed by Tom's knowledge and his teaching skills, I explained I had never used the cricut machines and he took me through everything I asked him about with ease.

An excellent, enjoyable session exploring paint pouring. Jess was brilliant. The great part was that we created 2 pieces of art in an hour, and were inspired to buy more paints so we can do more. The workshop include a paint pouring set so we are all set to continue at home.

This was a great workshop. My 9 year old son enjoyed making the windchimes. He was shown 2 different techniques, which he tried independently and help was given when needed. There was a great selection of beads to choose from. The member of staff running the workshop was polite, friendly and gave helpful tips. Great value for money and we will be booking more workshops!

The whole experience was excellent; from the ease of booking to the finished product.
l booked the 'woven pen pot' class for my granddaughter who is just four years old. Emily, who took the class, was exceptional with her incredible patience, understanding and knowledge. Everything that was required to make the pot was to hand and of a very good quality. There was plenty of choice of colours and beads and my granddaugter enjoyed the activity immensely.
Overall, the class was exceptional value and great fun!

An absolutely fabulous experience. I came with no knowledge of sewing, the teacher made me feel at ease and went through which sewing machine would be best for me and how to use said machine. Enjoyed the lesson that much I bought the machine. The teacher then went out of her way at the end to assist/prompt what I needed to buy to start my new hobby. I would definitely book follow up lessons to learn the next stages!

We started with me learning to use the auto threader on my machine. I'd failed to understand on my own.
We then went on to using the buttonhole tool. There were some problems initially with the machine tension but the three options were tested and using a bigger stitch helped fix some of the tension issues. The teacher was pleasant and helpful giving me some new useful tips along the way.

Lovely hour spent learning the basic skills of acrylic pouring. Only 2 of us so plenty of guidance from the lovely assistant, who was both knowledgable and friendly. She knew when to offer that little bit of advice to improve the outcome on the canvas.

Absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much Emma! Walked in so nervous and knowing very little, Emma showed me back to basics, loads of tips and explanations, came home with so much confidence. Great value for money, loved it! Fabulous idea Hobbycraft, you should do more of this. I would 100% recommend to anyone considering it.

Hannah was lovely and patient. The workshop craft kit was great and contained plenty of materials to continue practising brush lettering at home.
There was plenty of space where the workshop was held, although it could be a bit off-putting with people walking around.
I look forward to practising and also seeing what other workshops are available in future.

Emma was brilliant with my daughter and I, she showed us how to set up our new sewing machine and the different settings and stitches, and got us to have a go. She also gave us loads of hints and tips and helped us to understand the pattern that we have chosen and how to get started. She was very patient with us both and we feel much more confident after her lesson!

Wow! So impressed with the class we went to today. The tutor was so lovely, explained everything to us and was so helpful. My mum and I really enjoyed the workshop, the teacher Emma was really helpful and hands on. The 90 minutes was a sufficient amount of time and all materials were provided. Emma even helped to add a bow to make the wreath complete.

My tutor Hannah was amazing. So patient and helpful. Gave me some great ideas for my baubles. I was delighted with the end result. The kit you are given at the start has everything and more to make lots of baubles. Even a mini glue gun. It represents fantastic value for money. Cannot recommend it enough.

My tutor Tom was amazing. Very patient and friendly. Helped me with every stage. I felt very confident when I left the shop that I could make another one on my own. The box I received was beautifully packed and contained everything needed for this make and many other makes in the future, including my own glue gun. The workshop was very good value for money.

The demonstrator was really helpful - offering advice and suggestions to help create the look.
There were plenty of supplies to use to make the wreath and I was pleased with the result.
The class was well worth the money.

Activity led by a lovely girl ( sorry forgot name ), who engaged well with the kids. However the session was very basic and not worth the money. Kids got bored after 30mins so this session needs to be thought out more so it lasts the hour as advertised.

One of a few classes I’ve done with my grandchildren and another one we really enjoyed! Teacher was lovely and as we went for wander round when we’d finished, she found us and presented the kids with a craft box each! They were absolutely thrilled and it was a lovely thing for Hobbycraft to do.

My Granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed the pumpkin making clas. They always have such fun at the workshops. They attended one everywhere in the school holidays and will be attending one each week during December. We made sea creatures using air drying clay.

Great activity kids loved peeling the masking tape off once everything was dry.
Only down point same as last time, there are no customer toilets which is quite hard with a 5 yr old.

Had a lovely morning with my daughters making masks.
The range of decorations was more than value for money.
The teacher was lovely. Didn't rush us out of the shop and gave different ideas for the masks. She was delightful and very good with all children there.

I liked the fact that there are only 5 spaces so everyone had the own space. It wasn't too busy.

I’ve just starting sewing with a sewing machine so got a lesson on all the basics. My teacher was absolutely fantastic! She was so lovely and taught me very well as to how to do different stitches and different techniques. I would 100% recommend and do it again.

Did not have for me to purchase the foot to do the floating embroidery foot, and for her to show me how that function works. I would love to do another class on a cricket next but not on a Saturday as the whole arria is far to crowded

Really enjoyed learning the basics on this machine, setting it up and being able to ask questions. Even ended up buying the machine! However, the only thing I didn't like about the hour session, was that if other customers came up to ask questions or where things where in store to the member of staff teaching me, it would take up time in my one to one, leaving me with less than an hours session which I had paid for. I think there should be other members of staff available to speak to, as this will stop me from having another session.

The girl running the workshop, Emma, was lovely and very helpful. There wasn't enough time though, could have done with an extra half hour. It isn't a class for beginners. I do feel it was a little expensive for what I got out of it. Met some lovely people which helped.

I really enjoyed the beginners acrylic paint pouring workshop. All the items needed were included in the kit that comes as part of the workshop and you take home the remainder of the kit at the end of the workshop.
The instructions given were easy to follow and questions were encouraged.
I look forward to collecting the pictures once dry and deciding on which workshop to try next

I have never done paint pouring and I really enjoyed it and learnt about layering the colours.
I felt like the course could be longer also would be great to have weekend courses as I work full time so took half a day off.
