Sterling Silver Ring Making Class

Please double check the location you're booking for — we host these workshops at our studio in Liverpool as well as additional locations around the UK.Learn how to craft your own stunning silver rings at this fun jewellery-making class - no experience necessary, complete beginners are very welcome! During this 2.5-hour workshop, you'll practise traditional silversmithing techniques and transform sterling silver into either two slim stacking rings with a semi-precious stone, or a wider ring with added texture.You'll start by sizing up your chosen finger, before filing and shaping your silver, then soldering it together with a blowtorch. From there, you'll hammer on a unique texture and form your ring into shape, ready to polish to your desired shine and set your stone the traditional way, without glue!Your skilled teacher will be on hand throughout to support, advise and demonstrate the skills needed, while letting you make the ring independently. Those making stacking rings can choose from a wide range of semi-precious gemstones on the day.You'll finish the class with a host of new skills, the knowledge of how to make jewellery, and your own beautiful ring, ready to wear.What to bring/wear: Closed-toe shoes are recommended, and long hair should be tied back, as this workshop involves an open flame.Please note:

• There's no strict age limit for this class, but please enquire before booking for anyone under sixteen, so we can confirm the workshop will suit them.
• No alcohol may be consumed before or during this class, for health and safety reasons.
• You can arrange to make additional rings during the workshop for a small extra charge, either online while booking or on the day by card or cash. An additional textured stacking ring is £10, a stacking ring with a semi-precious gemstone is £15, and a wide textured ring is £20.
