What you'll do
Looking for relaxing things to do in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas? Treat your senses to a stroll through the beautiful and peaceful gardens at The Secret Garden Distillery.
With over a thousand juniper bushes and 600 herbs and floral varieties such as scented geraniums, lemon verbena, roses and irises, this gin garden tour is the ultimate tribute to nature’s botanical magic.
This experience will take you on a journey to discover all the different botanicals that make up the Secret Garden gins. We will talk you through the process of growing, hand harvesting and drying the botanicals.
Finally, the tour will end with a flavourful tasting of six Secret Garden gins whilst learning about the unique distilling process and how it has affected the complex flavours of each gin.

In 2012, co-founder Hamish Martin and his wife Liberty bought a derelict 7.5-acre plot of land on the outskirts of Edinburgh, it was there they laid the roots of The Secret Herb Garden.
The dream was to create a green space that allows people to wander freely and enjoy the subtle magic that nature offers.
As a Herbologist, Hamish spent his time experimenting with the botanicals he so carefully and lovingly nurtured.
With this newfound knowledge and his past in the drinks industry, Hamish created a range of 100% natural gins, using the botanicals he had grown in his own sacred space. Both Hamish and Liberty love to share their passion with others.

Amazing Expereince, beautiful gardens and Rebecca was very knowledgable on all the botantics and gave a great insight into the whole production. Tasted 6 Gins and all very lovely and so nice that they are produced in small batch onsite. Would fully recommend the whole experience.
