Barbara from Feltworld Creative Arts is a multimedia artist, creating colourful works of art.
During Barbara's classes, you can learn:
- Wet felting and needle felting.
- Batik painting – an ancient art form where you draw with hot beeswax with a tool called a tjanting, using a bowl with a fine tube for the wax to flow through and onto the cotton material to create a clear line.
- How to work with alcohol inks. Creating abstract designs using isopropyl alcohol and alcohol inks is amazing fun.

This was a lovely class. I bought it as a Christmas present for my daughter and goddaughter (30 and 20), it was suitable for us all, and we all enjoyed learning a new skill, spending time together and making new memories!
Barbara, our teacher was warm and welcoming, and the venue was very easy to access. She even provided drinks and cakes!
Barbara is an extremely talented artist, and a caring and sensitive teacher. She demonstrated the required skills and then helped us all individually, keeping and eye out progress, and stepping in to provide additional support.
Barbara has a wide range of other creative skills, and her home is a treasure trove of inspirational artwork.
The materials provided were of excellent quality, and we were all very pleased with the needle-felt animals we brought home! We would all recommend this course.

Really enjoyed our introduction to needle felting. Beautiful venue and an informal, relaxed class. All materials were provided, along with tea and cake. Really pleased with our efforts despite being our first try. Will be back to do another different class with Barbara soon. Would recommend.
