What you'll do
Create a beautiful picture using wet felting techniques at this felt making class. This is a great craft class to try if you'd like a taster of working with felt.
Guided by your expert teacher, Barbara you'll be shown how to create your own artwork with lamb's wool fibres, silks and alpaca wool. Barabara will take you through the felt making process from start to finish. You'll learn how to lay down your wool and silk fibres and bind them together to create a floral, landscape or abstract picture.
Take some images you love to your class with you for ideas of what to make or use your teacher's beautiful images for inspiration. You'll be amazed at what you can make through this creative textile art process.
By the end of this full-day class, you'll have learnt how to make art with felt and you'll have created your own wet felted picture with needle felted embellishments to take home with you. They do look fabulous when framed.

Barbara from Feltworld Creative Arts is a multimedia artist, creating colourful works of art.
During Barbara's classes, you can learn:
- Wet felting and needle felting.
- Batik painting – an ancient art form where you draw with hot beeswax with a tool called a tjanting, using a bowl with a fine tube for the wax to flow through and onto the cotton material to create a clear line.
- How to work with alcohol inks. Creating abstract designs using isopropyl alcohol and alcohol inks is amazing fun.
