What you'll do
Enjoy a fun day of creative exploration using alcohol inks on paper and tiles. If you're keen to discover the art of alcohol ink, this introductory fluid art class in Stafford is a wonderful place to begin.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will be guided by your experienced teacher, Barbara to create some unique abstract artwork. Barbara will demonstrate a range of artistic techniques and talk you through the safety measures needed to create beautiful art using alcohol inks on special waterproof paper and on a ceramic tile. Also using a range of mark making pens to enhance your pieces.
Throughout your fluid art class, you'll learn all about your materials and how to use them well to create wonderful effects. You'll also be shown a number of mark-making methods, allowing you to create interesting inky patterns.
You'll create four sample technique pieces, one A4 individual YUPO abstract artwork and one abstract ceramic tile artwork. You'll take all of these beautiful alcohol ink artworks home with you. Enjoy creating some unique pieces of art at this fun fluid art class and go away with some wonderful handmade art and a host of new skills to use for future projects.

Barbara from Feltworld Creative Arts is a multimedia artist, creating colourful works of art.
During Barbara's classes, you can learn:
- Wet felting and needle felting.
- Batik painting – an ancient art form where you draw with hot beeswax with a tool called a tjanting, using a bowl with a fine tube for the wax to flow through and onto the cotton material to create a clear line.
- How to work with alcohol inks. Creating abstract designs using isopropyl alcohol and alcohol inks is amazing fun.
