I enjoyed the event but it was a real rush to get the painting finished in the time, which became stressful.
The T&Cs re cancellation/rescheduling are different on the confirmation email to those on the website, and they wouldn't honour the T&Cs on the confirmation, which is very disappointing.
No reply to call, text or voicemail either which was equally disappointing.

Everything we needed was provided, paint, brushes, aprons and canvas. We were given clear instructions and although many of us hadn’t painted since school, everyone produced a colourful painting of a dog. Great evening. Would definitely recommend it

Attended the April event at the Cheese rollers pub. Great venue. The food and drink there was also great. This was my second brush party as we attended one before Christmas.

These parties are such a good idea. Becky and Allan the hosts are fantastic. Helpful, informative and keep everyone up to gether fairly easy. They wander round to give advice and feedback if you need/want it. It’s surprising how quickly you pick up mixing your own colours and learning new techniques. I’d definitely recommend giving a party a go if you fancy something different and added bonus you get to keep your masterpiece to display at home (or not)

Attended this evening with a friend. Venue very local to us both, plenty of parking, nice inside pub.
Event was held in skittles alley, plenty of room to move abt. Lady who took class was bright and cheerful, very clear with her instructions too, could also hear her clearly. All materials were provided, plenty of paint with more given if needed.
Felt class was good value for money, times 7.00 till 9.30 was just right.

Went to the event with my work Friend who received a gift voucher as her birthday present from work.
I have been to a number of paint and sip parties before, but it was her 1st time, and at another different venue which I would never of experienced.
Our teachrr Laura was great, tell us what to do step-by-step and making sure we all stuck to time. Alan snapped away on his Camera capturing our creations as they come together.
We were both really pleased with the final outcome and nice to see others pictures too. Great friendly atmosphere, although a little loud as the event was not in a private area unlike other events I have been too before.

Now to book the next one! Just 2 more stamps until a freebie!

It did seem to be a bit fast paced for me as I’ve never done anything like this before but I appreciate it needed to be completed within the time allocated. I was really pleased with my finished painting and would love to do it again.

We came as a group of four and had the best time! The atmosphere was great and even though we were in a public venue, it felt like it was a closed event. Hosts were very helpful and encouraging, they offered great explanation of the process and each step. All the tools were of very good quality and we all ended up with a beautiful painting, even though none of us are artistic. I highly recommend!

Where we were seated could not see the painting. Also the lighting is not great in places depending on where you seat.The layout might work better if was in a U-shape layout so can see from every angle.

Loved this event! Been looking forward to painting this picture for a while now. As usual Alan was super welcoming and helpful throughout the event and it’s always great to get positive encouragement as we paint. The teacher of the night was great and made each stage simple to follow along with. It was wonderful to share the evening with friends and also to see all the other creative paintings. Puxton park a good venue with plenty of parking although when leaving no outside lights made it difficult to see.

Such a fun event! I would recommend this to everyone.

The venue was perfect, a private function room in a lovely pub which has great food/drinks on offer.

Great host/teacher who greeted us and showed us to our station already set up with canvas, apron, paint and brushes. (For those of a certain age the hosts had even set up extra lighting so you could really see your canvas well!)

The instructions were clear and easy to follow with an example of the painting we were to complete at the front of the room and the instructor painted along with us to demonstrate the techniques used which was really helpful.

It was great fun with lively music, good atmosphere and amazing to see the art we all produced in a couple of hours. The time just flew.

Great atmosphere with everyone! The lady teaching the class was amazing and very helpful to those who needed help. The photographer was so funny and bought the whole atmosphere together! Venue was perfect for the class and drinks etc was perfectly priced and food.
The painting was amazing to do, and the group definitely enjoyed the whole experience! It definitely bought back some old memories from school 14 years ago!

Fantastic evening and so relaxed and fun!
Hosts were perfect.
Only thing I’d suggest to improve it would be to consider including a few stations where you have the option to stand, either throughout or as and when you need to. Some people (myself included!) rly struggle to sit through for 2 hours without being in agony and ceasing up (and I’m not even old)
Also a good idea in general given it’s quite high up on wellness wish list these days

Great experience as always. On arrival you recieve a lovely warm welcome from Allen. All materials are set out ready and seating organised so you are sitting with your party. Fun and chilled atmosphere with music playing in the background. The artist talks through each step and on hand if you need help. Always great fun and amazed at how good our paintings turn out! Would recommend to anyone who hasn't been to give it a go

Our teacher laura was amazing, very talented and helpful
She took her time to explain and help where needed.
Allen and Laura made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were enjoying our evening.
The venue was lovely. We were in a seperate function room area with easy access to the bar and toilets .me and my daughter took part and she loved the whole experience and asked if this is something that we can do for birthday gifts for eachother.

Venue is adequate but seems less friendly than it was, with the warning about not getting paint in the bathroom sink, the poorly managed bar queue and of course the wobbly seats. Doesn’t distract from the session itself though.
Tuition great and an understanding of how the painter will be interpreting their painting and giving brilliant reassurance to trust the process.

Good fun evening. Staff were lovely, the venue was good too. However, the evening was rushed from start to finish and then felt as we were being evicted as everyone was encouraged to leave quickly. An extra half hour at the end to finish, would have been much better or maybe starting 30 minutes earlier but definitely extra time was required.

First Brush Party. Advice & admin all good. Enjoyable overall & a good welcoming atmosphere. Competent teaching & support. Materials supplied were fine. Only a couple of suggestions:
-Disn't see Brush Party signage or welcome sign at venue to show way in. Would help esp on dark evenings.
- Car park lighting at Puxton Park is poor at night. Could be an issue on dark evenings.
- Would prefer no background music. Distracts from teaching & unnecessary
- Would appreciste one free hot drink for the fee

The painting was great as usual, the venue and the host - well that is a different matter.
The venue was poor for parking especially for disabled customers, the cooking of greasy food in the bar area and general cleanliness was poor.

The host, she was not as helpful as others we have experienced, we have been to a few classes & the constant use of unhelpful words: toilet brush size or shape, mummy brush, daddy brush, baby brush was not helpful, considerate or inclusive of the clients. She was rushed & it was to see that she focused her time to people she knew & was used to.
This host is not a suitable for customers who have little or no experience, when asked for help her responses were: I'm not sure, don't worry leave it & you can catch up later - there wasn't time for later & this left some in our party dismayed as they left with unfinished paintings to complete at home with no support or help and with 5 minutes of time this could have been avoided.

Alan as usual was a pleasure, great help and support to the group, he should be a host as he is a great ambassador for your brand and provided so much more than your host.

Absolutely loved it although I did think it was very rushed at the end, it was supposed to finish at 9.30pm but everything was done and dusted by 9.15, lights out the lot. I would have liked to have had the whole 2.5 hours and not felt rushed.

However this is my 3rd time and there will be many more times I attend as I absolutely love it

Unfortunately I felt that the class was really rushed towards the end and I didn't enjoy the experience as much as previously. The instructions were given too quickly to be followed with the ease of the early part of the class. The final picture wasn't quite what was expected

I really enjoyed the class and would definitely attend another one. Teacher was great and there was an ongoing supply of paint if needed. A couple of negative things. I felt it was a bit rushed towards the end and the hedgehog I would have preferred to have been shoen how to paint it, like the online video, rather than a template. Overall I had a great time.

We had so much fun and will happily return to try another class.
Suggestion for improvement would be having 2 paintings up one at each side of the room as we did struggle to see or to have a projector so it was larger as it is all about the painting.
Our only criticism the lady was very helpful when needed but 20mins at the start of the class to explain 3paint brushes was honestly A bit patronising, my group and the groups around us all just wanted to get started it was just to long.
We did good hare day at the ring o bells nailsea.

The explanation at the start takes to long and doesn't catch anyone's attention as its not fun. Allen as always was fabulous.

Great evening as usual, but I do think too many people at this venue to appreciate the facilitators. We were sat too far back to get the best view of how to paint the lovely hedgehog. Overall still a great evening.

Once again it was a terrific night with lots of laughter. The instructor is friendly and always on hand to help. The venue is ideal, plenty of accessible parking, quick and friendly service. It still amazes me that I come home with something that actually resembles the initial painting. You really don’t need any expertise as you are guided through each step so well. It’s great value for money with all the equipment you need provided and you take home your masterpiece at the end. The only problem you’ll have is having enough wall space to hang all these beautiful paintings because once you’ve been to one class you’ll be hooked.

Really enjoyed tonight! My 4th class for my Mum and I. The teacher (Kirsty) was lovely, very helpful and patient. Really helpful repeating the colour mixes as I’m usually always a step behind.
Barn Owl is a lovely location one of our favourites.
Great resources and loads of paint!

Had a wonderful experience doing brush party at The Avenue in Gloucester, location was great a good amount of space and a great variety of food/drinks. Our teachers were fantastic and explained everything clearly whilst also making it a fun and enjoyable evening. Love how we’re all painting the same picture but they all look so unique and individual! I would definitely recommend and have already booked the next one

The gentleman was very “hands on” literally with ladies. Some found that a bit uncomfortable. The presenter Becky was lovely and supportive. Just needed to be a slower with some instructions as a few participants were left behind. However overall a great picture was produced by many.

1st time Paint and Sip(per) here and I absolutely loved the experience. Really got lost in creating art

The teacher and assistant were friendly, approachable and patient.

The cost of the class is very reasonable given that everything is provided for you, all you have to do is turn up!

The class is approximately 2.5 hours long and the time flies! Personally I got lost in the detail and may have found a slower pace a little easier to follow but that's possibly a newbie issue and realistically it wouldn't be viable to make the class any longer.

The venue fit was for purpose although I did feel a little crammed in, this may have been emphasised by the very hot weather and the anticipation of not knowing what to expect. Once you're in your flow you didn't notice how cosy it was.

I'd definitely be up for attending more classes in the future.

This is my third time at a Class Bento brush party and it was another fantastic evening. I took my family of grown up children and my brother, all of whom said they were rubbish at painting and wouldn’t be any good. Everyone came home with a lovely picture, having had a really good night and realised that with good tuition you actually can achieve a great result!
It is just such an easy, hassle free experience and a brilliant thing to do, even if you think you can’t paint, you absolutely can here! Would recommend for a family, it’s a lovely thing to do together.

It was our first Paint and Sip class last night and we had a great experience. The teacher and the organisers were fabulous, very welcoming and were guiding us step by step through the painting process. I have never painted on canvas and it was so satisfying to complete my first ever painting. I like the fact that all the materials were provided and that I got to keep my creation. The experience helped me accept the fact that things don’t need to be perfect in order to look good. I’m definitely coming back for more.
The venue itself was really nice and they had an offer on their cask ales, which was a bonus.

I had a really good evening and love the painting. The venue was good, being short I had a bit of trouble seeing the front from where I was sat but for anything tricky out teacher demonstrated on a separate canvas and help it up so that was helpful. It was also really good to have her walk around and offer help/tips during the class too.

Not sure on the new artist taking the class. Too long explaining at the beginning, Focused too much on minor details and not on bigger picture. Delayed in some instructions so application of paint incorrect and not nessiarily in the correct order. Very focused on the colours used. (Ensuring correct colours being used) I was happy with my end result but needs to be a bit more relaxed. Felt like I was at school.

My 6th Brush Party was just as good as every one before it! This time I painted the Woodland Oasis which I picked because I love wild swimming and being near water! I’m really happy with how it turned out. The teacher was amazing and once again Alan was so funny and lovely! Highly recommend!

Our teacher was lovely very helpful and understanding. The venue was good, next time might need more room for food and drinks.
I painted the funky cow, and even though I'm not a painter it definitely turned out better than expected.
The quality of the paints, brushes and canvas was good.
Will happily book again.

Nice pub venue with good choice of food and drink.

Had a really great time, the team were warm, welcoming and helpful. Felt a little fast paced at times but all came together in the end. Venue wouldn't be my choice because of the amount of stairs but I really enjoyed the session so could overlook that.

Great venue. Teacher was fab, giving us all help and advice when we needed it. Relaxed atmosphere. Was a but sceptical about whether our paintings would look anything like the advert, but was really pleased with the outcome. Would definitely do this again.

This was my 4th Brush Party and it was very enjoyable. The cow was harder to do than the others pics, but the teacher helped me and in the end I was happy with it.
The venue is good although parking is expensive. I found sitting on the higher chairs was a bit awkward as I'm short.

Best one so far, totally loved building up my highland cow and getting passed THAT stage, when you feel like giving up, thenTa Da, there he is!
The instructor was fab, 1st time I've been told all about the brushes before starting and lots of great tips. She was really easy to follow and felt just the right amount of time.

Amazing experience. Time just flies and your painting slowly takes shape. You learn a lot and have a great time doing it! They take plenty of time for you to catch up, and in the end it is amazing to see how everyone's work came out.

Went as a party of 3. It was a fun evening, our teachers put us at ease as beginners and talked us through a step by step process. They were encouraging and helpful, you need to keep pace throughout the class but there is time at the end to finish or add bits. A nice alternative way to spend an evening with friends.
Drinks and food are available to bring to the table Short break half way through. Yes, I would go again!

Just got home from a brilliant eve, learning to paint a highland cow. We arrived at the venue & were shown to our seats by a very friendly man called Alan, which was all set up & ready with canvas, apron & brushes. Instruction was step by step & easy to understand. We could ask questions if needed, more paint was readily available & the people running the event were lovely. Definitely something we would do again!

The best thing about this is just how well you are talked through each step so that even the least artistic person ends up with a painting that looks like it should! The venue was really good and spacious. The teacher was brilliant. We all had an enjoyable time which was good value for money. Will definitely do another class soon.

Another brilliant painting session with Allen and his art expert. Really sorry I'm rubbish with names. She made it a real fun session, giving good tips and encouraging us to go rogue if we wanted to.
I highly recommend these sessions, I've done quite a few now and have gone from terrified to way more relaxed.
The venue was great, I was worried with the weather being so hot but they opened it all up making it really comfortable.

An amazing night of painting and fun the teacher spoke very clearly and walked around everyone offering ideas and encouragement and demonstrating the techniques. The venue was really good and fairly easy to find even though we’re not local to Bristol quick refreshment breaks were given too there were even people there who attended alone highly reccomend good value for money

Loved the image, that’s why this class was picked, instructor was informative and clear all the way through.

The only concern was that it all felt a little rushed towards the end rather than evenly spread out throughout the class when doing each element of the picture.

Not everyone is an artist and paint at the same speed - this needs to be remembered!

Alan was brilliant keeping us all motivated and topped up with paint whilst Sue was teaching us the next part.

Great value for money and a brilliant evening.
Becky was a great teacher who took her time to carefully explain each step. She happily repeated instructions and offered advice. The assistant was great too, offering advice and ensuring our supplies remained topped up at all times.

Charlotte was a great teacher - gave clear instructions, in a friendly, light hearted manner. The only downside was that I was seated right at the front behind her when she was painting, so unfortunately I could not actually see her when she was painting which I felt was more helpful when I did the class previously.
However, I’ll definitely do another session as it’s a really enjoyable evening. Thank you.

I've been to 2 sessions with Gabriela and she is a great teacher. Clear instructions, repeated several times in case you were too busy enjoying yourself and missed them. Able to give advise for those choosing to make their painting a but more individual with different colour options. I really enjoy these sessions. Even if you like the idea of being arty but really aren't, you still come out with a great painting. Get some friends together and book up!

These evenings are so much much fun. Alan organises everything so well. All you have to do is turn up, grab a drink from the bar and get creative. It's a great way to relax and have fun. Cherry blossom was my third time of going and the most challenging painting to date. I'm no artist and have lots to learn but will definitely be back for another one soon.

Venue nice enough.

A fantastic evening with lovely teachers Becky and Allen. Always there to help and provide support along the way, making sure we had all the supplies we needed throughout the evening. Including lots of positive support! The venue was nice and cosy with friendly hosts, and great desserts included a yummy sherry trifle cheesecake.
We had a great night and painted a picture we never thought we could have. We are already looking to book another painting event.

Becky and Alan were an absolute dream! Very supportive, thorough and funny to boot! They even bought their own music along so singing along to the tunes was an added bonus!
The venue was easy to get to with a large car park, staff were very friendly there also !

I had a wonderful time at Puxton Park. I thought I would give this a go as it looked like fun. The staff were extremely supportive and the painting was done step by step. Everyone produced an amazing painting which were all individual and unique. Food was very nice and a good choice. I will definitely be going again.

It was Laura’s first teaching session and although she told us this you wouldn’t have known other wise, she was an amazing teacher, gave clear instructions and support and was very personable. Charlie and Alan were supporting running the class and were also incredible, nothing was too much trouble and they worked like little pixies and came round topping up your paint and tissues and pallets. So we’ll run and had such a great time. Will definitely be back for another paint!

I always enjoy at Brush parties. I usually visit that same venue because is very close and it's nice. Enough space, drinks and food. This time like always the event was well organized and was a lot of fun.

What a great night. Never painted before and the class was so relaxed. Learned a lot. Venue was great and felt like it was more one to one than one to many. Teacher encouraged group participation and happy to support, help and answer questions. Didn’t think initially it would be my cup of tea but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely do again.

Only criticism would be that we were seated at the furthest away point and so not easy to see the detail of the painting

The teacher was really good fun, reassured us and spoke clearly making it easier to understand what we needed to do.
The venue was lovely, bright, clean, welcoming with a good selection of food and drink choices(The locals were friendly too)
It was nice to learn something new and take away a finished piece of artwork
Overall it was an inexpensive fun activity for ALL ages, it was nice to see a few men attending also

Highly reccommend anyone not sure, "Do it!"

I was on my own but felt warmth from the big group on my table

Lots of chatting, laughing, wine and paint in places I never knew existed

Overall it went well, but the tutor did speak ever so quickly and I and the women near me struggled to both hear and then keep up.
Whilst we appreciate the explanation of why it needed to be quick it might have been a good idea to have mixed all the colours up before applying them, we moved onto "Putting Pink here " before we'd even finished mixing the sunburst yellow, it all got a bit confusing. It was also a cause for frustration that the tutor kept referring to The Rabbit when we were supposed to be painting a hare, this was causing us to hiccup in following everything else either side of it.
Equipment was tip top and the paints splendid.
If this had been my friend and I's first class we probably wouldn't have come back, however having had 2 previous very good experiences we are already planning our next.

I had an amazing time at this sip and paint. It's the first time I took one of these classes. Been wanting to attend one for a while and this was a bunny with lots of colors, both my favorite things! All material was provided and decent. Very good tutor as well who came around to help out. Also given the opportunity to talk to other young women just like myself. It was such a relaxing experience. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks so much for organizing this lovely evening!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and how it was taught, we were a bit far from the teacher so trying to see what she had done was difficult but just kept talking pictures.
The picture eventually comes together and it's amazing what you can achieve. I was very proud.
It was a bit crowded and you didn't have much space, I attended with my mum who has restricted shoulder movement and she found keeping her arm up a bit painful and difficult, there was no space to adapt or alter her position. However we know what to ask for next time.
Loved it, booking in for our next event, mums choice!

What a great class - I am not a painter but the class was so well led with step by step and clear instructions and plenty of time to complete each stage. I came away with a painting that I can feel proud of. It was a fun evening with friends, we started off with food in the same pub and great to be able to combine food and drink with this class. Both the people running the class were brilliant with good encouragement and providing laughs. Can't wait to do another!

Had a fabulous evening painting a bluebell wood. Although not a class as such we had sufficient guidance. A very relaxed atmosphere. The teacher and assistant were great, the pace was good, materials provided just right. The venue was cozy and we had a nice pub meal beforehand, served by very friendly staff. I am but beginning with watercolours but this was a very apt next step to build my confidence. I lost myself in the painting and as a result walked away super relaxed. Highly recommended experience. It was a great evening with work friends to enjoy something most of us don’t normally do.
Being in a pub gave it a great atmosphere and we can have a meal beforehand or buy drinks throughout, excellent idea!
Tutor was excellent with the two BSL interpreters, they worked well together.
All in all, a great idea to have a brush party!

The atmosphere had a party feel and the teacher created a fun filled night with light hearted banter and lots of reassurance that you were doing a great job!

Also very patience, approachable and gave clear step by step instructions with plenty of opportunities to ask for help or give a 2nd opinion on your masterpiece

Plenty of materials provided and a apron for protection (many thanks!)

I think my painting got better with time once you got a feel for it, wine certainly helped haha. Learnt lots about different techniques and strokes of a paint brush.

Rookies are very welcome and I have no doubt you will soon be laughing if not at your picture but at your mates

We had a wonderful evening - 8 of us attended as a work social. The teacher was helpful and knowledgeable but also fun and relaxed if people wanted to add their own interpretation. The venue was perfect - plenty of room and food and drink nice.
I would highly recommend - great value for money and something a bit different!
Alan was great too - lots of encouragement and keen to ensure everyone had the resources they needed.

A different teacher tonight, Becky I think I'm rubbish with names.
Really supportive, clear tuition and advice, with useful tips and explanations.
I was a little nervous about tackling this one but I'm happy with what I achieved.
Everything provided, even the Christmas hat.
Venue is welcoming and friendly.
Thoroughly recommend giving it a go.
The brilliant offer in gift vouchers has been extended. I've bought it as a gift to myself, great value.

All around a good time and fun date night!
It's not their fault but there was a match on in the bar, so during the first half it was hard to hear the teacher because of the cheers and yells erupting from the bar area. I would suggest a different location since there wasn't any room elsewhere to be away from the bar area. The second half was by a second teacher, who was a bit easier to hear but it was still tough to see what they were doing due to the room layout (again, not their fault but maybe this place shouldn't be used again).
Lastly, a minor point: the teacher of the first half touched my shoulder and my arm more than once. It might be a generational or cultural thing, and I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it, but I would prefer not being touched by a man I don't know (not to mention there's still variants of COVID going around).

Excellent venue. (This was my 2nd Brush party there.)

However, compared to the 1st party I attended. I found this one very rushed. Very disjointed in parts. Constantly found ourselves behind.

Compared with the most caring and patient teacher at our first Brush party. I felt the teacher last night didn't expell the same qualities. The example picture looked nothing like the picture we had done. The finer detail was missed (scarf and earmuffs) and we ran out of time to finish.

I bought 2 tickets as presents. Chilly Chirpers although very festive, not ideal as a first party.

Overall, a great session, the leader speaks clearly and demonstrates well, if sometimes a little too speedy for some participants. The subject matter was fun and provided a great end result. The "helper" was quick to respond for extra paints, tissues etc. This was our 2nd party, and I've actually signed up to the club.
Let down a little bit by the venue. The menu as advertised wasn't available, and the time it took to order and receive food meant it was a real rush to be ready to paint on time. Plus the lighting isn't terrific, but that is possibly personal choice. Outside lighting for when leaving the building in the dark would also be beneficial!

This was a fun and relaxing couple of hours. The event was very well organised and started and finished on time. Everything was laid out ready to go. Communication from the organisers was very good before the event. The instructor was clear and the pace of the evening was good. Materials supplied were more than adequate and topped up as needed by the second member of the team. 1 canvas, three brushes, 4 paint colours, clear instruction and two and a half hours later I had something to be proud of.
The Codrington Arms was a perfect venue with lovely friendly staff and some lovely customers sat by the door praising all the paintings as we left. I will definitely do this again.

Venue was lovely and a good area for me and my friends to attend. We were made to feel very compfortable and had a lovely night but found the teacher this time to be a little too fast in comparison to others we have had and would of liked a longer break in the middle. Took this class for the first time and absolutely loved it. Teacher was good and explaining the steps in a very simple way. The team was very friendly and welcoming as well as the other people attending the class. I'm very pleased with this experience and glad I bought the ticket. I have been wanting to attending one of these events for a while and finally managed to attend this one with two arty friends of mine. the venue was lovely, it was perfectly set up, and i liked that you had a few little breaks to get a refil or just move! i loved the project and the teacher was great! very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, and Alan was great for keeping us topped up with the paints! i thought it was very well organised and the project was very acheiveable for any one of any art level, it was a really fun evening and my friends and i are looking forward to attending the next one in November!

Teacher and Alan the Paint were both perfect, just the right amount of one to one attention when needed and clear patient instructions throughout. Venue was lovely, although a bit draughty at times, I'm very stiff next day.

The venue was perfect it was in a pub but in a separate outbuilding which was great for a big group like us.

It was a fun, relaxing evening.
All of the equipment you needed was provided and the tutoring was understandable and at a perfect pace.

Really great fun! Alan and Gabriella were both so helpful and friendly. I was a little nervous at the start as I wasn't sure I'd be able to paint the picture very well. Another enjoyable evening with Brush Party. The subject of the painting changed from what was advertised when we booked but we were pre-notified and the replacement was nice. You don't really go to these for the output rather to enjoy the process! The venue at the Royal Oak is lovely, plenty of room, good drunks and snacks and plenty of parking. Alan is a great host and Jane was an enthusiastic artist. It felt a bit rushed at the end and a bit slow to get going but we all finished and had our own masterpieces to take home. Looking forward to next month ready!

I found it harder to here the teacher this time, compared to the previous session and that’s the only reason I’ve marked ‘good’ rather than ‘great’.

Interesting to learn brush strokes and get different brushes to try out.
I also learnt that I paint better when I’ve had a drink - relaxation is key!

I went to this session to overcome my own barriers to painting. I am convinced I can't do it so don't try.
This session was brilliant.
The two people running the session were welcoming and encouraging.
All the materials you need are provided and the time flies by.
I cannot believe what I have produced. It's no masterpiece to those in the know but it's my first step and has inspired me to do more.
Brilliant venue at the Codrington Arms plenty of parking.

We very much enjoyed our painting experience.
Did feel it was a little expensive for what it was and that perhaps a first drink could have been included. Also felt we all sat rather close together.
Regarding the venue it would have been better if you didn’t have to travel two floors down to buy drinks, there was a bar on the same floor but not open unfortunately.

Great evening creating my ‘Life’s a Beach’ painting. This was my first experience and I will definitely be back for another one! Becky was a great teacher and was on hand to help when we needed it. Allen was also very helpful and made sure our paints were well topped up in between taking lots of photos.
For someone who has no art experience I was very surprised at my finished piece of art work.

My husband and I had a lovely time learning to paint this field of wildflowers. You had to go down two flights to get drinks but we got two breaks in the 2.5-hour class so that was fine. The teacher was bubbly and friendly and the class went by so quickly. We're so pleased with our paintings and would definitely go again!

It was our first Brush Party. My friend and I were really enjoying the evening to start, with having clear instruction we felt our confidence growing. Unfortunately for the last half hour we felt rushed, that’s when the enjoyment stopped. The tutoring position was changed during the evening due to the sun shining in through the glass behind, then from where we sat we couldn’t see the tutor showing instruction clearly. This led to us to falling behind, with not enough time to finish satisfactorily, which was extremely disappointing.

What a brilliant evening! I’m a hopeless artist, and yet I’ve come away from a super fun evening with a painting I’ll be proud to hang on my wall. I took my friend as a surprise, and we both agreed it was great to switch off from modern life for a couple of hours. The instructor and Alan were both great, as were all the others who took part in the evening and created a lovely friendly relaxing atmosphere. It was great to walk around during the breaks and at the end to see everyone’s paintings - they were all so similar and yet so different - each excellent in their own right. Shout out to the ladies in the restaurant. I would 100% recommend this for a great night out.

Really well run, fun creative class. My friend had mentioned it to me as she loved it, i took my daughter for her birthday and her friend, was the perfect gift and something to take home too. I think having this picture of the Elephant near each painter would have been good, you can see more clearly what would have made him more defined and professional looking, but that aside was still a brilliant evening.

We had everything that we needed and the atmosphere was brilliant, relaxed and fun. A big thankyou to you both for making this a great achievement considering none of us had pick up a paint brush for a very very long time.

Teacher and Alan the photographer were very friendly, was a fun and well run event and I had a lovely time with my friend. It was over dinner time and there wasn't any where to eat dinner so ended up eating off my lap and painting over the top! Was fine, but i'd say eat before you go. Also i'd say take the painting instructions with a pinch of salt if you have a certain aesthetic in mind. But all in all, a lovely evening!

I attended a brush party that my company organised, a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it. So I suggested it to a friend for something different for us to do. We had a fantastic night with Sue and Alan at the Bumble Bee pub! The venue was great; Sue was a brilliant instructor and gave great guidance and advice throughout. Alan was fantastic too & gave us lots of encouragement. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an alternative evening out, where you can have a laugh, as well as produce something you are proud of!

I liked the central location. The only thing I would improve if possible would be going to the bar, I didn't want to miss anything. it would be great if a bar staff could have come up and taken our drink orders.
But I loved it!

The only thing I would say as a more elderly person , was the easel was on a table which was quite high for me - and I find it difficult to stand for long periods of time. Understandable we had to do the painting in quite a short period of time but at times it was difficult to keep up

You really don’t need experience of painting to enjoy and go home with a masterpiece.
I would highly recommend going to one of these events. Going to book in another one very soon

The teacher was lovely and always willing to come and help, even staying a few minutes longer at the end to help me correct some mistakes I made. The pub was very friendly too. The only less positive was the room was a bit loud with the pub noise, so it might be worth trying to get a quieter room or see if it's possible to close off this room a little more. Overall, it was nonetheless a lovely evening and a very nice experience!

I can not recommend this enough! We went with a group of 4 at Codrington Arm Yate and it was a fantastic night.

They supply you with an easel, canvas, brushes and paint and the instructor was fantastic.

The other staff Alan who helper provide paint etc was so encouraging it really helped you see your art in perspective. Any time we weren't sure on our art he would come over and make you love it!

I havent painted since i was a kid and I'm very proud of my cow!

What a fabulous class! I've not painted a picture since primary school days but the teacher gave us clear instructions, explaining each step clearly whilst making it fun and memorable at the same time. I've learnt so much in such a short space of time.
I went by myself but was made to feel so welcome by the host that I relaxed immediately and was also able to switch off quickly from my hectic day at work.
I'm looking forward to attending the another class in the near future.

We had a lovely time at the High Orchard painting the street light sonata.
The tutor was very informative but in a very relaxed fun way. We had enough time to implement the suggestions before going into the next stage. The time flew by and everyone landed up having a painting we were proud to take home. I had a very enjoyable evening with all that I needed to do the painting provided. All I needed to do was turn up.

This is my second brush party at The Avenue, Gloucester - the teacher was lovely. The space is a bit cramped. I could only chat to my friends either side of me and not the other's down the end but I guess that's because of the layout, it might have been better, as there was 7 of us, to have some sat facing is so we could at least talk over the easels. My moan is really about the venue, it's really really cold and dank, and the staff are always bloody miserable. There's almost an eye roll when we head to the bar. It was like it last time but I assumed it was an off day, but evidently not. If you'd offered this picture (I'm a bit cow obsessed) anywhere else in Gloucester I'd have chosen there instead.

We are planning on a private brush party at my craft studio for my Hen Party.

We all had so much fun and haven’t stopped talking about it yet… in fact we have all just rebooked for another class in May!

The whole evening was so well run, we were all put at ease straight away by the friendly staff. The instructions were simple and clear to follow and there are helpers going around if you need it.

I must admit we were all very dubious we would end up with something resembling the example at the front of the class but much to our surprise we all ended up with a brilliant piece of work. Not one of us was disappointed with what we had created!

Like I said, we’ve already rebooked so that’s testimony in itself!

Sue was our instructor and she was very clear and taught us well. I liked the fact that I was there with my friend and we were put on our own table rather than having to mix in with larger parties. We had a good view of the front of the class. Alan was great as always and the picture was a lovely one to paint.

Honestly best evening out. Really really enjoyed this. Top art tips. Fun atmosphere instantly created by teacher. Everyone's pictures were brilliant; all individual with their own colour blend. Absolutely loved it. Give a class a go; you will love it and the result.

All materials provided, staff helpful and friendly. Teachers mic was a bit too quiet for us at back of room but having that one small observation didn't detract from a super experience.
Good value for money.
Will book another class.

The artist was lovely but spoke quite quickly and it was harder to follow than usual. I would usually rate the classes as excellent however and appreciate the artist was new. I will definitely be back though

Good fun, very engaging teacher
Slightly hard to see sometimes what was happening.
Rather rushed at the end, and we got a bit lost, not enough time to get good coverage on the white of the fox, so trees are showing through
Needed one more brush, as doing the white after orange was impossible to get a good result.
Spare plate for mixing?
Would book again, but not for a while I think.

What a great evening!
Was suprised how popular it was when we turned but it was such good fun and the instruction through each stage of the picture was great. Funnily it got easier and better the more you drank and I was actually pleasantly suprised with the end result definitely recommend

It was a great evening, Sue and Alan were the perfect hosts, very chatty and helpful. I can't draw/paint but came away with a picture I was quite proud of. There were 7 of us and we all enjoyed the evening. The equipment was good and the canvas was good quality. We would definitely go again, we laughed and painted all evening.

My mother and I were bought brush party tickets as a Christmas gift, we had so much fun and thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Great atmosphere, lots of laughs, Su was brilliant and went through it all step by step, really pleased with the end result. Would definitely go again!

The lady guiding the session is such a good artist who provides all attendees with valuable guidance and feedback. And of course Alan is the life of the party and such an amazing host.
