What you'll do
Dive into the World of ScraffitoDiscover the mesmerising art of Scraffito in our exclusive adult workshop. In this 2-hour creative journey (13:00-15:30), you'll start by decorating a small coaster and progress to a beautifully designed plate with a highland cow theme, suitable for complete beginners. What is Scraffito? Scraffito is an ancient pottery technique where you'll scratch or carve intricate designs through layers of coloured slip to reveal the clay beneath, creating unique and striking patterns.
- Location: Join us at Jasmine Pottery Studios for an evening of artistic exploration.
- Duration: 2.5 hours of creative delight and pottery magic for adults.
- Craft & Transform: Decorate your coaster and plate during the workshop. Afterward, we'll carefully take your creations through the biscuit firing and glazing process.

Jasmine Pottery Studios & Down to Earth Pottery Cafe is located in the heart of Wakefield city centre. Nestled away in the lower mall of The Ridings Shopping centre we have created the perfect pottery place. From clay hand building workshops to the pottery wheel experiences or beginners courses in ceramics, parties or corporate events our clay studio has it all including 10 pottery wheels!But that's not all we can offer.. our fantastic onsite cafe has a wide range of pottery available for painting (and yes we even make some of the ceramic bisque onsite too). The cafe also serves delicious food such as afternoon tea, Deli sandwiches and Freshly made Pizzas.
