Richard has been teaching this intro class since 2018 after realising that all the challenges of working with epoxy resin were bound to be frustrating aspiring makers around the world as much as they were for him. After realising that working with epoxy resin was actually quite easy once you knew a few simple tricks and the basic principles, he started inviting you to join him in the workshop to master the tricks of the trade for yourself.

As a gift from my wife, it was great fun to attend and make the piece. Great teaching and support as well as the right tools for the job and good instruction on their use. Also a great group of people attending which made it fun. I would really recomend this course.

I can highly recommend this workshop. Richard took the time to explain the theory behind the processes used and we had the opportunity to practice each step before applying what we’d learned, to make our board. The class was fun, the pace was relaxed, I learned a lot and I love my breadboard!

Richard led a relaxed, informative and fun bread board making class in a group of 8 people. We had a chance to practice techniques before making our own bread boards with plenty of options to customise the design. All materials were provided. Great to do with a friend or to give as a gift.

I have been thinking of attending this workshop and so glad I could finally do it. Dan was very helpful, guided through the process and patiently answered all the questions we had. 9 of us did 4 coasters each and every single coaster was unique and beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed!

I bought the introduction to table top making course as a gift for my partners birthday.
Dan was really informative, thorough, knowledgeable and funny!
The venue was fantastic, a lovely studio set on the Thames, with lots of light and really tidy and inspiring.
The equipment was in good condition and we had access to so many tools. We mainly used the router, sander and circular saw. We were taught how to use the power tools safely.
We created a beautiful table top each. We could use it as a stool, table or whatever we like.
We were encouraged to finish the table tops to a professional standard and even got to coat it with a beautifully scented natural oil and colour pigment.
It was fantastic value and we would love to book in again.
We would feel comfortable working with Dan on future projects.

The whole experience was enjoyable and interesting. The host was great and patiently took us through the process of using the machinery in a safe and proper way. The end product looked great and I can’t wait to use it.
Am definitely interested in taking the other classes available

The beginner Epoxy Resin course was great, all equipment provided, very knowledgeable instructors who were able to provide all the advice needed. Would thoroughly recommend as either a gift or for those wishing to try something new.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to do seascapes resin art. This class was perfect, and teacher was great & friendly. It was fun doing it as a class and the space is interesting to look around. I chose to do an extra after the coasters.

The class was fun and the works are beautiful!
Compared with other classes, it’s good that River Shop offers free delivery without extra charges. The class includes 4 coasters and allows you to do 4 different designs on your own.

Teacher was very helpful and explained how to mix resins, colours and how to achieve different results. Group was small which allowed for instructor to give one to one feedback

The whole class was great. Dan, the teacher was excellent, friendly, explained things really well and with nice, clear demonstrations.
The materials provided were lovely, plus sustainable, and the opportunity to practice on pieces was great.
The workshops were well kitted out for the group size and we never felt like we were waiting around for ages to do something.
The chance to use lots of kit I am aware of, but haven't been able to use was the best part for me. And having an expert on hand to give specific guidance and explanations on our work was brilliant and something that can't be got from YouTube.
We're really happy with our pieces!
Can't recommend the River Shop enough! We'll surely be back.

Fantastic morning, seascapes was a brilliant intro into epoxy and brought out my artistic side, the instruction was excellent, very knowledgeable and good options to do more than just the coasters with the time. Can't wait to get started at home now, fully recommend.

10/10 Would recommend this. Really good course i learned a huge amount and the staff are really helpful going out of their way to give extra input. Great idea for a day out and to brush up on your knowledge for all experience levels.

Doing resin master class was wonderful experience n I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our teacher was friendly n conducted the class very efficiently, giving all the informations n tips related to the class. I did an upgrade also as I found it very interesting. Thankfully, ample parking parking was also there. Highly recommended

I had a great experience making a small wooden top with Dan. He taught some essential skills necessary to make your own wooden pieces, and how to shape corners and edges. Very good stuff.

The breadboard making workshop I attended was great! Our instructor Dan gave us lots of detailed explanations and tips and tricks, the workshop is equipped with some great kit and you get loads of hands on practice with it.
Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be in touch again with the Rivershop for some personal projects!
