What you'll do
Enhance your knife skills and make cooking at home a breeze with this practical cooking class. You'll learn a range of knife techniques before using your new skills to prepare some dishes to enjoy.
You'll be guided through this knife skills and cooking class by experienced tutors who will talk you through the various knives available for food prep and how to use them. You'll also learn how to look after your knives and keep them sharp.
Gaining good knife skills will help to boost your confidence in the kitchen and will save you a lot of time and effort in your food preparation.
You'll learn a range of cuts including:
- Dice.
- Slice.
- Julienne.
- Shred.
- Boning (meat).
- Filleting (fish).
- Paring – peeling and preparing.
You'll also learn dish preparation and presentation skills and will cook:
- Chorizo and bean broth.
- Mackerel with orange and beetroot salad.
- Ginger and honey chicken wings.
- Apple tart fine with ice cream.
You'll sit down with your group to enjoy the delicious dishes you've cooked using your new food prep skills and you'll finish your class with some strong new culinary skills to use at home.

You’ll get plenty of hands-on time to perfect your cooking skills, and to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a delicious meal at the table at the end of the class.
Our cooking lessons are designed to be informative and hands-on, but are easy going enough that you’ll have fun while you learn.
