The teacher was very patient, friendly and knowlegeable. the teaching allowed my chrochet memory muscles to rejuvinate as I had not crochet for more than 40 years. She was friendly, warm and knowledgeable, answering the wide variety of different questions we had. The course included yarn, crochet hook and comprehensive written instructions. I am now ready to start my own project!

Our teacher, Gemma, was very patient with us beginers, repeating steps and instructions as necessary, and was helpful and informative throughout. She took us through each of the stitches, making sure everyone was able to do each step before moving on. Looking forward to having a go at making something with my new skills.

She was very patient with my daughter who struggled. My only recommendation would be that when teaching they sit somewhere where you can see there hands as it is hard to twist around and mimic them from a different angle. Maybe sit in between 2 people and then go and do the same the other side

Difficult to follow written instructions and instructor was showing us from the end of the table, so reversed and a distance. Clearer instructions on how to hold hook, yarn would help. Trouble shooting also didn't fully explain where id gone wrong, to try and stop happening when at home. Managed to work a few rows of double and treble stitch but not confident in where to insert hook or how to turn back.

I was a bit slower but learnt a new skill too. Gemma, our instructor was brilliant and very patient, she was kind and informative and really knew how to give clear instruction and demonstration. Where utube has failed us previously, Gemma succeeded and we will be keen to join another class soon, granny squares he we come! I love the bag with two balls of wool, a hook and instructions to take home too, great value for money.

I think Hobbycraft should stipulate the minimum age for these lessons, as even though Olivia was doing her best to teach us all, the nine-year-old that was in our session took the majority of her attention and left me feeling that my daughter and I didn't learn as much as we hoped we would.

Olivia, our teacher, was very friendly and explained everything really clearly, making sure to adapt to everyone’s individual pace and skill level. She was the perfect teacher - patient, kind, knowledgeable and able to show us in different ways if we didn't understand the first time. For the class, you are given 2 different balls of wool and the crochet needle which you take home with you. After 1.5 hours we left the class able to do the basic stitches we needed to start a project and felt confident. Really recommend this class!

Instructor is obviously knowledgeable about crochet but didn’t seem confident to teach others, so everyone in the class asked several times for clarification & support. A video showing steps would’ve been helpful & encouraging beginners to make personal notes, the booklet images were not clear enough.
