I'm an experienced artist, working across the fields of painting, print and fused glass, with works exhibited in London and New York. I love working with glass in particular, as it gives a tactile feeling that's often missing in this increasingly digital world.

I can't wait to share my skills and experience with you, helping you to create beautiful fused glass art of your own!

Velvet Feb 2024

Booked this class as someone with no artistic experience or ideas. The teacher is very helpful, easy going, calm, kind, and encouraging. She didn't mind repeating things to me, clarifying instructions, and answering questions. It's high quality art glass including metallic bits, with all sorts of things you can incorporate to create something as fun, or classy as you desire. The teacher even went out of her way to fire them quickly, and wrap them up well so I could take them back in my suitcase.

Anonymised ClassBento student Feb 2024

I think the class should cost half the price. Studio is very cold, the colour selection was not great, and the teacher guidance quite vague. Felt more like a colouring class since we don’t get to do any glass work apart from just placing pre cut pieces next to each other. Slightly disappointed

Teacher's response

Hi, We're sorry to hear that your recent visit wasn't up to your expectations. We take all feedback seriously, and we appreciate your honest feedback.

Best, Nadine

Di Samuels Feb 2024

Took my son for a Christmas present.
Such a fun, friendly class. Would highly recommend it if you fancy something different.

Teacher's response

Hi Di, Thank you so taking the time to write a review, and for you kind words

Camelia Feb 2024

This workshop is fabulous. I even didn’t know when the time passed. The location has a beautiful view on the back. All the materials provided were amazing.

Teacher's response

Hi Camelia, Thank you so much for your kind words, so glad to know you enjoyed the workshop

Ibrahim Baldé Jan 2024

Nadine was so sweet, charming and supportive with our individual creative directions. Very much appreciated this class, would absolutely recommend.

Teacher's response

Thanks so much for your kind works and taking the time to leave a review.

Ally Drake Jan 2024

Very friendly helpful teacher who was happy to give advice, ideas and suggestions if you wanted them but equally happy to let you do your own thing. Everyone made four different things each to take home and there were lots of different colours, materials and tools to choose from. Hot drinks and biscuits provided throughout the class. I thought it was good value and really enjoyed it. Thank you Nadine!

Teacher's response

HI Ally, Thanks you so much for writing such a detailed review, so glad to know you enjoyed it and found it good value.

Miao Tian Jan 2024

Amazing class and so kind ,expert and fantastic teacher that I like it so much

Rebecca Penn Jan 2024

Nadine was a fab teacher, really friendly and helpful, and provided plenty of tea & biscuits! The session felt really relaxed and we both enjoyed cutting the glass up (with safety goggles on) and just trying out different and bits & pieces. It felt like there was no wrong direction to go in and Nadine was great at guiding our ideas

Nadine posted our glass pieces to us, they were all safely wrapped, and they all look fantastic. We decided to have half our pieces shapped into bowls & half as coasters and we're thrilled with the outcome. We can't wait to find places for them in our home

Glass and Mosaic class review by Rebecca Penn - London

Teacher's response

Hi Rebecca, Thank you so much for sharing your photo and writing such a detailed review. It was a pleasure hosting you for a private workshop.

Severina Dec 2023

What I liked:
1. the teacher, she is an artist and was kind and available to us with tips and encouragement.
What I did not like:
1. the description of the event says “ Not only will you learn valuable skills and techniques, but you will also be able to take home your own handcrafted Christmas glass ornaments.” In reality you will either have to go back to the studio to collect the items in a couple of weeks or will be charged £8 extra to have them delivered in the UK.
2. Personally I did not learn much, you won’t see anything regarding the actual process of making glass, how it melts etc. you will just decorate and wait to see the result
3. The studio itself, including the bathroom and the kitchenette were not nice
4. We were working with glass but no safety training was covered. I paid attention while working but still cut myself a few times
5. I found the price way too expensive for the experience itself.

Teacher's response

Hi Severina,

Thank you for sharing your feedback, I am glad the tips and encouragement during the workshop were helpful to you, but I am very sorry that the workshop did not live up to your expectations. I have edited the description of pick up/postal process for the Christmas Glass listing, and apologise that this was not clear on booking. I will cover the cost of your postage, as this was my error.

A great little workshop that catered for all levels of ability.
It's been decades since I have undertaken any sort of artwork but this class caught my attention and was thoroughly enjoyable. Nadine was welcoming, informative and helpful throughout.
Lovely to try something different.

Teacher's response

Hi Lyn, Thanks for taking the time to write a review, really glad you enjoyed the workshop.

Helen Reid Nov 2023

The class was so much fun! Nadine is an excellent teacher, full of advice and recommendations, and guided everyone in the class on colour and material combinations to make our designs come to life. The materials provided were all beautiful. As I was a little slower than the rest, Nadine allowed me to stay a little after the class ended to finish my last piece. And the room was well heated - as I had cycled there in the rain, Nadine was happy for me to put my wet clothes on the radiator to dry! Thanks for being so accommodating.

Tatiana Zapolskaya Nov 2023

What a lovely class. An excellent teacher who was very attentive throughout the class with lots of helpful tips and ideas. Nice venue for a small group (6 today) with refreshments as well. A lovely skill to learn which was easy for beginners and very achievable. Looking forward to receiving my finished pieces once fired.

Robbie Giannelli Oct 2023

Our glass fusing workshop with Nadine was the perfect birthday gift. Nadine was so welcoming and really put us at ease even though we are not arty people. She encouraged our creativity to a point where we were creating without thinking. As a teacher she was fantastic, but moreover she allowed us to be free and create without judgement. I would reccomend making glass with Nadine for anyone who, like me, remembers the joy of drawing as a child but hasn't had the pleasure of doing so as an adult.

Teacher's response

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It was a pleasure hosting you both last weekend and hope the rest of the birthday celebrations went well. The tiles have just had their first firing and look great, I hope you find the perfect place to display them at home.

All the best,

Alessandra Schmitt Mendes Sep 2023

This class was excellent - Nadine started off with some history on the glass fusion technique, also sharing her own introduction to the art form.

She gave very clear guidance about how we should approach creating our pieces, which was helpful to a beginner such as myself. There was a wide array of materials from which to choose. I found it much easier to get a hang of glass fusion than other ceramic forms that I have tried. We were all able to make 4-5 pieces, which I felt was a good amount for a one-day workshop. I would consider taking this again in the future!

Really fun class. Easy to follow and the teacher was helpful. Small size so you really feel like you're getting good amount of attention. It involved cutting glass, which I wasn't aware of but the tool they had make it easy to cut. Recommended.

Michael Goldhill Apr 2022

Nadine is an absolute delight . We were a trio of elderly brothers celebrating the 70th birthday of one. Another had not done any 'art' since leaving school. We were all engrossed in the technique of fused glass and Nadine helped us all to achieve our aims, whether they were practical (a new number for the front door) or simply artistic.
A thourghly enjoyable morning

Jenny Leuba Mar 2022

Angela King Feb 2022

Excellent teaching, although a lot to take in during one session - which of course, is encouraging to go back again to put it all into practice.
Equipped really well, with lots of good examples to follow, and help when needed - which was quite often for a beginner (well certainly in my case), and fortunately Nadine is a very patient teacher.

Becky Black Oct 2021

Excellent class - Nadine was really lovely and helpful.

Perfect for beginners but also would be keen to come back to try something a little more advanced next time.
