Glazey was created from a love of ceramics, creativity and bringing people together. We wanted to create a relaxed, welcoming space where anyone can get stuck into clay, whether you’ve never touched pottery before or you already have some experience.There’s something really special about working with clay. It’s hands-on, tactile and surprisingly therapeutic, and we love seeing people arrive thinking “I’m not creative” and leave with something they’ve made themselves. That moment of surprise and pride is one of the things we love most about what we do.We’re passionate about making ceramics accessible and fun, without the pressure of having to be “good” at art. Our sessions are about enjoying the process, trying something new, having a laugh and creating something unique that you can take home and treasure.We also love teaching because every person approaches clay differently. No two pieces are ever the same, and it’s incredibly rewarding helping people bring their ideas to life while giving them the confidence to experiment and make the process their own.At Glazey, we’ve created more than just pottery classes, we’re building a creative community. Our workshops are perfect for catching up with friends, celebrating special occasions, enjoying a different kind of date night or simply taking some time out for yourself.One of our favourite things about ceramics is that there really is no such thing as a mistake. A wonky shape, an unexpected texture or a little imperfection can often become the best part of a piece. That’s something we try to encourage in every class: relax, have fun and see where the clay takes you!Whether you’re completely new to pottery or already clay-obsessed, we want everyone who comes to Glazey to leave feeling proud of what they’ve created and hopefully already planning what they’ll make next.
