Asha is a knowledgeable art tutor. She has taught all abilities, from complete beginners to the more experienced.

Having previously made the age-old mistake of thinking she needed to have an academic degree and a job in an office to be successful, she left all that behind for a range of personal reasons and created Ambience Arts. Initially starting off by doing a few commissions for friends and family, here’s where her journey towards happiness began. Over the last few years, she has seen how engaging in creative practises can help to improve mental health, confidence, and so much more.

In Asha’s classes, you will be made to feel comfortable, inspired, and most importantly, excited at the prospect of creating!

Not a great experience sadly. Instructors were nice people. However, for the price (£80) we really expected more. All we got was a lump of clay, water, one set of tools to SHARE between us, and some very very vague instructions. The instructors did not make clear what we were making, nor did they provide a demo of what to do, which is something youd expect from a beginner class. Me and the wife had fun only because we did our own thing and ignored the vague guidance and lack of support.

For this price I expected my own tools and a bit more guidance - a demo, some attention - otherwise I could have done this at home

Teacher's response

Hi there, we are very sorry you felt this way about our workshop. I have just checked and it was £35 per person (£70 in total) for this 2hr slot on a Sunday which we think is a fair price but we will of course compare again against other similar providers.

Choosing to make the items suggested may have meant you would have benefited from some closer guidance like the rest of the group however the aim of our workshops is to let participants choose freely and enjoy the experience opposed to a traditional teacher instructing from the front, we do however value your feedback and will take your comments on board when planning our future workshops.

Kind regards, Asha and Team

Asha was sooo lovely, she really took the time to make sure our pots were perfect and let us be creative. The venue was so pretty and quaint. Asha took care of us by making the environment really peaceful and we were given tea in cute little teacups. 2 hours was enough time to be creative with the clay as well.
