Immerse yourself in nature with a foraged flower arranging class

Looking for fun things to do in Edinburgh this spring? If you’re a nature lover who’s most at home outdoors, our foraged flower arranging class will let you explore the green spaces of the city and get creative at the same time – it’s the perfect Ediburgh experience to celebrate the warmer weather!

Hosted by Parisian trained floral design experts Ollie and Ivy, you’ll begin the class with a tour of the parks and greenery of Edinburgh, gathering flowers and foliage as you go. You’ll discover how to select the best stems for your flower arrangement, and you’ll learn a host of fun floral facts and tips along the way – fuelled by plenty of artisan baked sweet treats and a refreshing tipple or two!

Once you’ve collected your flowery goodness, you’ll head off to discover how to create beautiful floral designs; whether you’d like to learn how to fill vases for table flower arrangements or gather your blooms together into a beautiful hand tied bouquet, your talented teachers will help to make all of your flower arranging dreams come true!

Create lasting memories with a dried flower workshop

If you’re looking for ways to make your floral designs last that bit longer, switch fresh blooms for preserved posies at a spring dried flower workshop in the city. With all the beauty of traditional floral arrangements, but none of the drooping stems or fallen petals, it’s the perfect eco-friendly alternative!

Led by an experienced florist, you’ll learn all about choosing the right flowers for drying, and the different methods for preserving them in all their glory. You’ll explore colour, space and texture, and will be encouraged to play with various types of flowers and experiment with different effects. Finally, your talented teacher will show you how to choose the right vase or container for your floral design, and ways to assemble your stems into a beautiful, long lasting dried flower arrangement. With plenty of snacks and refreshments included, it’s a great option if you’re looking for creative activities in Edinburgh as a birthday gift or hen do!
