Immerse yourself in nature with a foraged flower arranging class

Looking for fun things to do in Edinburgh this spring? If you’re a nature lover who’s most at home outdoors, our foraged flower arranging class will let you explore the green spaces of the city and get creative at the same time – it’s the perfect Ediburgh experience to celebrate the warmer weather!

Hosted by Parisian trained floral design experts Ollie and Ivy, you’ll begin the class with a tour of the parks and greenery of Edinburgh, gathering flowers and foliage as you go. You’ll discover how to select the best stems for your flower arrangement, and you’ll learn a host of fun floral facts and tips along the way – fuelled by plenty of artisan baked sweet treats and a refreshing tipple or two!

Once you’ve collected your flowery goodness, you’ll head off to discover how to create beautiful floral designs; whether you’d like to learn how to fill vases for table flower arrangements or gather your blooms together into a beautiful hand tied bouquet, your talented teachers will help to make all of your flower arranging dreams come true!

Create lasting memories with a dried flower workshop

If you’re looking for ways to make your floral designs last that bit longer, switch fresh blooms for preserved posies at a spring dried flower workshop in the city. With all the beauty of traditional floral arrangements, but none of the drooping stems or fallen petals, it’s the perfect eco-friendly alternative!

Led by an experienced florist, you’ll learn all about choosing the right flowers for drying, and the different methods for preserving them in all their glory. You’ll explore colour, space and texture, and will be encouraged to play with various types of flowers and experiment with different effects. Finally, your talented teacher will show you how to choose the right vase or container for your floral design, and ways to assemble your stems into a beautiful, long lasting dried flower arrangement. With plenty of snacks and refreshments included, it’s a great option if you’re looking for creative activities in Edinburgh as a birthday gift or hen do!

Head off to a flower arranging workshop and fill your house with blooms

When it comes to finding calm in the city, it doesn’t get much more soothing than a fragrant flower arranging class hosted at a relaxing florists studio. From sweet smelling blooms to a gentle and creative atmosphere, it’s the tranquil Edinburgh experience you’ve been searching for!

Led by professional florist Rowena, you’ll spend a happy few hours at her beautiful studio, surrounded by fresh flowers and immersed in peace. She’ll start with a full demonstration, taking you gently through the whole floral design process, from selecting the perfect flowers and foliage to mixing and matching colours and textures in your floral arrangement. Then, it’s aprons on and secateurs at the ready, as you head off on your own floristry journey!

In this beginner friendly floristry workshop, everything you need will be provided, from a plentiful supply of blooms to a gorgeous glass vase for your flower arrangement – so all you have to bring is yourself and your creativity. If you’re looking for floristry classes in Edinburgh that will provide a gentle start to your creative journey, this is it!

Channel your inner bohemian with a flower crown class

Whether you’re planning a birthday party for your best mate or searching for unique hen do ideas for the blushing bride, a flower crown class is going to make their special day memorable for all the right reasons. After all, who wouldn’t want to celebrate by getting creative with flowers and coming away with a glorious party-ready headband? Cheers!

You and your creative crew will be taught everything you need to know by a professional floristry expert, so whether you’re a green-fingered gang or total nature novices, you’ll still be able to join in with the flower arranging fun! Each group member will be provided with a selection of beautiful blossoms, foliage and wire, and will be shown how to transform them into a glorious statement piece fit for a party queen or king. At the end of the workshop, you’ll each have your own floral crown to take home, and all the skills you need to make more in the future.

Celebrate Easter with a wreath making workshop

If you’re looking for an escape from the chocolate this Easter, why not opt for an Edinburgh floristry experience instead? With beautiful faux flowers and fun colourful embellishments, spending time making an Easter wreath is a great alternative to the usual egg hunts!

Led by a crafting professional, you’ll discover how to make a beautiful spring floral wreath to adorn your door with – and since there’s no fresh flowers included in this workshop, you can be sure your beautiful creation will last longer than any chocolate eggs! You’ll learn how to weave your flowers and foliage into a rattan base, and then finish it using embellishments such as pastel coloured eggs and jute fabric. Designed with beginners in mind, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a wreath making pro or a total novice, you’ll still come away with a beautiful creation for your door!
