In this online drawing workshop, you'll master the art of capturing the essence of things by focusing on the effects around them, like shadows and the play of light. It's a technique that transforms your sketches into something that feels lifelike and vibrant, without relying purely on outlines.
No need to worry if you're a beginner – this session is designed to help newcomers build confidence in drawing while getting to grips with the beauty of foliage study. During the live Teams session, you'll experiment with a range of materials, including pencils and ink, giving you plenty of scope to express your creativity freely as you explore how to depict objects convincingly on paper.
By the end, you'll come away with a real sense of accomplishment and a fresh appreciation for capturing the essence of things through drawing – and you'll have picked up techniques you can keep using and developing long after the session ends.
