Attended the pottery class as an activity with my siblings. Raymond was an experienced and friendly instructor. Very personable and personal teaching, he was there to guide us through every step to make sure we stayed on course and catching any mistake before they were a real issue.

Pretty open space and it was great to see shelves of other people's work sitting at different stages of the process. We got to pick out what we'd like to make, bowl or cup, tall and thin or wide and open, straight or rounded. The examples present helped us get a better idea of what we wanted.

The class went much more quickly than expected. Very structured session that sped by. Walked through the use of the equipment and the necessity of each step efficiently and was definitely worth the price and looking forward to collecting the finished product.

I booked this private pottery throwing taster class a surprise gift for my husband to enjoy as part of his birthday celebrations. He had no idea until we got there, and he loved it. The teacher was very welcoming and it was such relaxed and enjoyable experience. Neither of us had ever used a pottery wheel before, and really enjoyed learning how to work with clay on it. We're excited to collect our finished pieces when they are ready. I would recommend for anyone wanting a creative experience to share with a loved one.

We were very excited to try pottery on a wheel for the first time. We booked into a taster 1 hour course with Raymond as part of my daughter's 26th birthday fun, and it was absolutely brilliant. Raymond was very pleasant and cheery and patient. He's clearly very passionate about pottery. He gave a little demo with clear instructions and helped the three of us each create our own bowl (we could choose between a cup, bowl or plate).

A beautiful, naturally lit, art room with lots of pottery inspiration all around you. Aprons provided. Do expect to get a little messy - it is art after all.

There are toilets on site.

It was an easy train ride from central London. The train stops around a 12 minute walk from the fab studio.

We would definitely go again. Highly recommend.

We really loved our class! We got stuck into it pretty much straight away which was good, the teacher was very thoughtful in explaining what to do and the best way to approach the different shapes of pottery we wanted. It definitely was value for money and gave us a good idea of what it would be like if we were to join up for more classes. I loved how there were other people's work dotted around the studio as it gave you ideas of what you might want for yourself. Teacher was nice, approachable and knowledgeable too. All around a great day!

I just went by myself and tried my own pottery for the first time, and ugh I had so much fun, the studio is small and intimate with plenty of natural light!, paired with a really lovely teacher that helps you step by step, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be trying this again. Basics are supplied for you, if you would like any extras there would be a fee however not too expensive, would recommend for doing with friends or loved ones. If you’re new and unsure this is the course for you. You get a choice of 3 shapes and of course you can tweek it to your liking!

I learnt to make a cup today. The class was really amazing. It was a quiet environment where you can actually learn a lot. I was about 40 mins late today because of my trains but still I had a warm welcome by the teacher. The teacher was very polite and asked me what I wanted and helped me out. He taught me each and every step and helped me to modify the clay accordingly. Overall the experience was awesome. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Amazing. First time using a pottery wheel, the instructor is super supportive and patient. He gives great pointers and takes you through the process but gives you space to do your thing at the same time. It's not easy to get that balance right but you get
it here. Recommend paying extra for a second piece and painting your piece(s). Having done a cup, really wanted to try a bowl as well. At the end what I got is two pieces I'm really quite proud off despite almost zero experience in pottery. Can't wait for them to be fired and get the finished result. My friend whom I did the class with felt the same. Great for beginners dipping their toes, and judging by some of the pieces sitting in the studio, also great for experienced potters who know exactly what they're doing. Be careful! This class has the potential to get you hooked on pottery!

I booked this for my sisters 30th birthday and it was truly special. Wen guided us through as we were in total beginners. She assisted and gave great tips. This is the perfect class for a casual bestie date! Raymond was calm, helpful and made the entire process so relaxing! The studio is cosy, bright and clean and you could see so many examples of beautiful work already made!

This is my third time taking this pottery class and I love it. The studio is so nice and the lessons are always so helpful. We had a fantastic time at Ramonds pottery class on Friday. The space was an absolutely gorgeous attic studio. Really bright and peaceful place to be. Ramond was a lovely teaching, really kind and friendly but also flipping good at his job. Took four newbies and helped them produced a product they were each proud of in just one hour. Would highly highly recommend to anyone on the hunt for a pottery course. We probably could have done with another hour but also because we were having so much fun. Very excited to have our pots back and thank you Ramond!

Our teacher was fantastic! He was super friendly and supportive and clearly very good at ceramics. He made us feel comfortable and made personable conversation the whole time. We had a blast and are very excited to see our finished products! Highly recommend.

Highly recommend! I’ve been looking for a beginner class for ages and this is the first I found that is reasonably priced. I went with a friend and we had a private class. It was honestly perfect - the teacher was very good, patient and helpful. I think if I go back I’ll do a private class again for 2 people as the space isn’t huge and we each had a good amount of attention/guidance which we needed as we are beginners.

Definitely will be back here again!

Super fun class, teacher was great. Only con was that colour glazing is not included in the price (only transparent glazing is). Overall a great experience though!

I had a great time. Raymond was patient and can see what I was doing with my hands and tips on how to shape the clay on the wheel. Explained what techniques create more line of marble. That now I want to go back and make more!
