The Exchange is a community craft organisation in Erith, South East London.

We believe in the power to create change through craft, and offer many different craft workshops and classes. We are situated in the beautiful Old Library, a Carnegie Library built in 1906 and restored in 2020.

We'd love to welcome you to our textiles and ceramics spaces and teach you some valuable craft skills.

Great teacher and great course covering a wide range of mending stitches and darning as an introduction. Good start and gives confidence and inspiration to start learning more about it. Nice cosy room with a small group around the table and some music in the background. 3 hours felt like 30 minutes and you get to keep your practice swatches and some thread. Great value, 100% recommended.

Sarah was an enthusiastic teacher ego to create a motivated atmosphire for learning. She was adaptating the learning of more complicated stichtes patterns to each of us. She was so good that she made 3 hrs felt like only half an hour. I can to do more by sure
