One-to-one Crochet Workshop

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a one-to-one and ask any questions you have about Crochet

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Christine Winney, attended Apr 2026: Lovely young lady. I hope to have another lesson at some time in the future.
  • 5/5 from Margaret Brown, attended Apr 2026: I was gifted this course for a birthday present. Fabulous gift indeed. I hoped to learn basic stitches for crochet and indeed I did. The area was so peaceful to work in, with Victoria the teacher, so calm patient and knowledgeable. 10/10 Victoria. I liked the fact I was shown, given time to work at my pace and re try parts I did today that I felt needed it. I feel that I am now confident to carry on using my new found knowledge and put it to good use. 71 yrs and another thing ticked off the bucket list. Lol

  • 5/5 from Safron Shields, attended Sep 2024: I’d like to start off by saying I am a very difficult person to teach things to. I get very easily distracted and if I’m not understanding it right away then I’m like AHHHHHHHHH inside my head. I hope I’m not spelling their name wrong. However Eilidh was fantastic. They were so patient and friendly. They were more than happy to go over things again and again until I go to grips with them. I just want to say they are a wonderful asset to your company. I will definitely be back if I need help with any other projects. I have been to 1-1 classes before and the teachers don’t show as much patience as they did so Thankyou:)) Loved the colours of wool I got given and it’s great value for money considering you learn a lot in the hour and a half :)

  • 5/5 from Sudesh Singh, attended Feb 2024: Emma was fantastic with teaching my daughter how to crochet. Emma went to detail and made sure my daughter understood it before we left. Lots of information & advice. For the money there could be more time or a pattern task kit to be done. Other than that it was great.
  • 5/5 from Aneta Pruszko-Thompson, attended Jan 2024: Teacher was very friendly, explained things very well. Very enjoyable lesson, thanks a lot. We'll do it again!

  • 5/5 from Becky Ford, attended Oct 2023: Fantastic! Teacher was lovely, very informative but not too much. Took at a great speed and was obviously very knowledgeable! Highly recommend and will book for further! Thank you Ailidh!
  • 4/5 from Susan Stride, attended Oct 2023: Only thing that stopped it being great was that two of us had been booked for a 1 to 1 session and there was confusion about bringing our own work. Having said that the manager and our teacher handled it politely and satisfactorily. I got all my questions answered and managed to Improve my crocheting. A very enjoyable and informative session. I would recommend.
