Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Eona Beveridge, attended Sep 2026: A fantastic lesson. Learnt so much and everything was explained simply. I would totally recommend doing this before buying a machine as I learnt what machine was the most suitable.
  • 3/5 from Sirinya Williams, attended Jul 2026: the knowledge of my assistant was subpar, I felt was though they knew the products but by no way were they an expert on the product. I was disappointed by the lack of knowledge from this "SME" (Subject Mater Expert"). but the information which she did provide to me as basic at best and did help me to get to grips with the basics of my Joy Extra. Other than this, I guess I will have to youtube the rest . For £28 it was NOT worth the price and was pretty disappointing to be honest.
  • 5/5 from Jenny Quilt, attended May 2026: My teacher was really good and answered all my questions and demonstrated how to use my cricut to achieve the projects I had purchased the cricut to do. I completed a birthday card and learnt how to use design space to make templates for paper piecing. My only suggestion would be that there was more space on the teaching table and that a chair or stool was available. I stood for the whole of my lesson. However I would recommend this class and maybe do another
  • 5/5 from Carol Lynch, attended Apr 2026: Very good, informative class. Teacher covered all aspects of design space and asked what kind of projects I had in mind. She then showed me how to execute said project. Highly recommend this course.
  • 5/5 from Maureen Shillinglaw, attended Mar 2026: I loved that we concentrated on a task I was unsure of doing.
  • 4/5 from Raymond Capaldi, attended Jan 2026: My teacher was excellent to be congratulated
  • 5/5 from Caroline Wati, attended Nov 2025: I had a 1to1 with Stephnie today at the Fort Kinnard to cover how to operate a cricut joy extra. She appeared very friendly, made me feel at ease, had all the answers to my questions. The materials (ie) IPad was freezing alot and its an old IPad, so it needs upgrading in order for Stephnie to be able to continue training others. She deserves a new IPad because alot of the time due to it freezing, we had an hour only so she wasnt able to cover as much as she could have, but she did spare extra time towards it. What happens in days if Stephnie has a few hourly slots, she may not be able to cover the trainings on time due to the ipad playing up. I like most that as a person Stephnie was approachable, had the knowledge of the cricut machine
  • 5/5 from Ruth Nicholson, attended Nov 2025: Thanks for a good starter intro into cricut. I think I can progress from today and make something. Shame cricut don't provide an idiots guide to help as this would have been helpful.
  • 5/5 from Nicole Crawford, attended Oct 2025: Stephanie was amazing! She was so helpful and knew exactly what she was talking about! Answered all my questions and now I can’t wait to start Cricuting! Thank u again!
  • 5/5 from Angela Maclean, attended Sep 2025: A fabulous hour with Stephanie explaining how to get the best out of my new cricut. She was patient and explained things clearly with a wee demo at the end to help cement the details into my brain. Can heartily recommend.

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Feb 2025: Stephanie was fantastic & incredibly knowledgeable about the machine. My workshop was perfectly tailored to what I was looking to get out of the machine. I’d recommend this workshop for anyone who’s looking to purchase but wants to see if it will meet their needs first. It would also be perfect for anyone that has a specific project in mind but not sure how to go about it. Stephanie has amazing knowledge on the use of the machine & the design app.
  • 5/5 from Louise Donaldson, attended Dec 2024: Very informative, everything was explained and questions answered.
  • 5/5 from Chris Pirie, attended Aug 2024: Stephanie was great and really helped me understand how to get the best results. She was also able to answer all my newbie questions about various aspects of the Cricut range.

  • 5/5 from Val Wylie, attended May 2024: Stephanie was amazing! We had questions about doing iron on vinyls and she was very informative and help us with everything from what vinyls to use and what to use them on done a demonstration and was overall an amazing colleague we wouldn’t hesitate booking another class with her! Excellent value for money

  • 5/5 from Sandra Wilson, attended Aug 2023: Stephanie was very helpful - she knew intuitively what material settings to try. I am working with very thin pure gold foil that I have made myself so finding the right cutter and material setting is crucial. I would highly recommend this one to one session. Great value for money too. Thanks
  • 4/5 from Elizabeth Naysmith, attended Jul 2023: Teacher was very good but the venue had a a lot of drawbacks. Were in main shoping floor, so no privacy. Of more significance there was no seating so I had to stand for an hour which was uncomfortable. Instructor answered most of my questions and helped me get to grips with my Joy. Went away feeling more confident about using the Cricket.k
  • 5/5 from Dorothy Sy, attended Apr 2023: I couldn't take the class as I had the wrong class it should have been something like die cast
  • 5/5 from Gail Flynn, attended Nov 2022: Tutorial was great, Stephanie was very good her experience was valuable and her explaining was understandable as I am A beginner. Great value for Money
  • 5/5 from Kathleen Murphy, attended Oct 2022: Hi enjoyed my workshop was a lot to take in, the shop was quite busy it would have been better if the class was in a room and not on the shop floor we kept getting interrupted with people asking questions and because it was school holidays there where a lot of children running about I would like to book another class but not if it’s on the shop floor the girl that took the class was very good. Kathleen murphy
  • 3/5 from Barbara Ford, attended Sep 2022: The girl was really good at explaining it all but I thought I would have seen the cricut working.
