Heather’s specific interests lie in the link between making, health and wellbeing. A desire to inspire others through teaching has led to a range of exciting workshops for students and creatives in partnership with others. In response to the need for us to stay at home, Heather has adapted her popular range of workshops into a series of online videos, accompanied by a materials kit delivered to your door.
Heather (MA RCA, FHEA) works as a senior lecturer with numerous educational institutions and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I attended a class with my two adult daughters to make a hanging basket each. Heather Orr, our macrame tutor, was very kind and patient. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow and she made the whole session great fun! There was also excellent communication prior to the class via email. The venue was delightful with ample paid parking nearby. All materials were provided, ready cut and sorted. We even had a choice of colours. Provision was made for us to either stand or sit while crafting, and water/tea/coffee and cake was available. We all successfully made a hanging basket each and the whole two hour course was good value for money. We even purchased more kits to try at home! There was much laughter throughout the session, good conversation and I would thoroughly recommend this course and lovely Heather!
