Hosted by Heather, a lifelong crafter, you and your fellow budding crocheters will enjoy learning the fundamental stitches of this versatile craft as you create a bespoke home for your favourite plant.

Beginning with some expert demonstrations, you'll then take your crochet hook in hand and give it a try for yourself. You'll feel the stresses of the day melt away as you get into the rhythm of this satisfying textile art, and Heather will be on hand throughout the session to make sure you're on the right track.

Everything you need to create your pot will be ready and waiting for you, so all you have to bring along is yourself and your creativity! Whether you're treating yourself or looking for unique gifts for the plant lover in your life, this class is sure to tick all your boxes.

Based in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter in South East England, Heather Orr specialises in Constructed Textiles. The Heather Orr studio creates innovative lighting and handmade interior products using traditional textile processes, for the contemporary interior.

Heather’s specific interests lie in the link between making, health and wellbeing. A desire to inspire others through teaching has led to a range of exciting workshops for students and creatives in partnership with others. In response to the need for us to stay at home, Heather has adapted her popular range of workshops into a series of online videos, accompanied by a materials kit delivered to your door.

Heather (MA RCA, FHEA) works as a senior lecturer with numerous educational institutions and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
