Join experienced crafter Heather for this beginner-friendly introduction to all things crochet!Over the course of the session, you'll be making a series of sample swatches that cover a range of different stitches, giving you the foundations to kickstart your crocheting journey. Everything you need will be provided, from hooks to yarn, but you're free to bring your own if you're more comfortable.Even if you've never picked up a crochet hook before, you'll have Heather's full support throughout the class. She'll make sure you're getting the hang of things and answer any questions you might have about anything crafty. Whether you're coming along on your own or bringing some pals for some chat and crafting, you'll love learning this useful, versatile skill for yourself.

Based in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter in South East England, Heather Orr specialises in Constructed Textiles. The Heather Orr studio creates innovative lighting and handmade interior products using traditional textile processes, for the contemporary interior.Heather’s specific interests lie in the link between making, health and wellbeing. A desire to inspire others through teaching has led to a range of exciting workshops for students and creatives in partnership with others. In response to the need for us to stay at home, Heather has adapted her popular range of workshops into a series of online videos, accompanied by a materials kit delivered to your door. Heather (MA RCA, FHEA) works as a senior lecturer with numerous educational institutions and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
From cracking crochet to marvellous macrame, Heather’s craft workshops are the ideal way to switch off from the world and immerse yourself in creative bliss.
