Learn to make a glass terrarium using beautiful live plants at this creative terrarium class in London.
Desert terrariums are low maintenance micro-ecosystems arranged in glass and look beautiful in the home – add one to your coffee table, windowsill or desk for a pop of indoor nature!
This mindful terrarium making class gives you the chance to make your own terrarium, indulging in some time for yourself to work with plants and get creative. Doing something creative is proven to promote your sense of well-being and decrease stress levels. Joining this London terrarium making class promises to give you a break from your daily concerns to enjoy a relaxing activity in a chilled studio environment.
Taught by an experienced teacher, you'll be shown how to plant some luscious desert-style plants into your glass terrarium. You'll add various natural elements such as soil, stones, sand and moss to your glass vessel to ensure your plants have everything they need to thrive.
You'll learn how to layer the substrates in your terrarium and you'll get lots of tips on how to landscape and decorate your terrarium so that your plants have plenty of space to grow. You'll also be taught how to water and care for your terrarium, and whereabouts in your home it'll do well. Your teacher will also give you some guidance on aftercare to ensure your terrarium plants thrive long-term.
As you create your terrarium, you'll hear some interesting terrarium facts from your teacher and you'll learn all about the history of terrariums. Your teacher will also chat through a range of mini indoor gardening skills, giving you lots of tips for looking after your terrarium plants.
Enjoy a glass of prosecco or a non-alcoholic drink as you make your DIY terrarium and soak up the positive vibes of your plant class as you settle your terrarium plants into their new home!
You will create your terrarium with three different desert-style plants and various sands and gravels. There will be plenty of lovely hardscape decorations to finish off your creation.
By the end of your terrarium making class, you'll have your own beautiful glass terrarium to take home with you, as well as a renewed sense of calm from your relaxing activity!
