- 5/5 from Rebecca Henderson, attended Aug 2026: That was such a fun class, I booked in by myself but had no awkwardness or anything. Anna explains everything so well and is very patient with her help, and everyone in the class ended up with prints that they loved!

Neither of us are artistic but it didn't matter, we were guided every step of the way by Anna, who was very encouraging. She started with a demonstration of the whole process, and showed examples of what we could make. As we were designing, Anna came round and gave advice about what would or wouldn't work on the medium. She was also on hand to help during the inking and printing process, and happy to let us try different colour paper and ink. We both managed to create art that we're super proud of. The drinks and snacks were much appreciated to keep us going!
Your teacher
Sally-Ann Johns graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Design and Craft. She then went on to receive her Master's in Product and Furniture from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. Sally-Ann now uses her fabrication skills to create beautiful and unique pieces of art using bendy ply and gold leaf. She has been working in the arts for over 20 years, exhibiting internationally and teaching a wide range of courses.Anna Dittmann is an illustrator from San Francisco who loves to bring portraits and nature to life through her art. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, she specializes in creating book covers that blend realism, fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult fiction, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. Since early 2023, Anna has enjoyed teaching at Studio 48, where she shares her passion for art with both adults and kids!
