  • 5/5 from Fiona Sinclair, attended Jul 2026: Fantastic experience. Food was stunning! Mario is a fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable. Really liked hearing the history of pizza too. Great location and the interior design of the room you get taught in is really well done. Would definitely visit again for a meal or the pizza making experience!
  • 5/5 from Eddie, attended Jul 2026: Mario was superb. He was interesting and funny. He's very proud of his Neapolitan background. I loved that he could coordinate 22 pizza makers, fill the oven, and bring out perfectly cooked pizzas every 90 seconds. I had no idea about the chemistry behind good pizza. I learned that less is more when it comes to toppings. I made a reasonable looking pizza which was edible....result.
  • 5/5 from Lindsay Cordiner, attended Jul 2026: Wonderful afternoon, nothing could have been better. Teacher very helpful and patient, end result tasty.
  • 5/5 from Carolanne Boyle, attended Jul 2026: This was such an enjoyable experience. Our teacher Mario was excellent at delivering an informative and amusing lesson for 22 people, and very well organised. He's so passionate about Napoli pizzas. We were all so proud of our finished pizzas and they were delicious. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by the very friendly and helpful staff. We booked the boozy experience which included 2 alcoholic drinks. I chose aperol spritz which was delicious, my husband choose moretti beer. Starters and desserts were included in the ticket so we felt it was very good value. We thoroughly recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from Donald Nairn, attended Jun 2026: Teacher Mario was entertaining and educational
  • 5/5 from Christopher Solley, attended Jun 2026: Excellent class very good information
  • 5/5 from David Scott, attended May 2026: Well structured and well informed. Steps you through the pizza making process. Learnt alot of what to do and what not to do in making a pizza. Amazed how quick it was in the oven.

  • 5/5 from Shauna Baxter, attended May 2026: Did a master class for my best friends hen party and it was really good! Food was delicious - especially the dessert! Waitress was great and even brought out a speaker to put our own music on. Would definitely come back for food again!
  • 5/5 from Luca La Fratta, attended May 2026: The teacher is very knowledgeable, the class was interesting and fun, starts with a theory lesson accompanied by very good Italian fried appetizers and drinks, and then you get to make your own pizza and eat it of course, if you like pizza and are interested in what's behind it can't recommend it enough
  • 4/5 from Susan Scott, attended May 2026: Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot, now know where we have been going wrong Our teacher was good and took time and was patience. The Pizzas looked and tasted fab However a few concerns! Felt we should have been told to wash our hands prior to starting I was uncomfortable with all those hands in the tubs of semolina and cheese not know if they were clean. Supplying spoons for individual use to take ingredients and tongs for lifting cheese would have made it a far better experience and more hygienic for all. Fix that and I’d give you 100% and 5 stars. We would like to come back as such good pizzas.
  • 5/5 from Murray Seaton, attended Apr 2026: Excellent day. Mario was a real Napoli guy and gave humour and clear information. It was good that we all took time through the stages and to cook our final pizza. It was good that we could take it home. I got good information on what quality of ingredients that I should use. I got a Ninja oven last year and used I as well as the weather was good. I used the class to take me to the next level. One point to make, I would liked to see Mario show us making a dough, blending the flour and water in quantities. I have never been to Pizza Pilgrams before but will certainly making a visit soon. Thank you Mario for a great class and will give you a shout when I visit.

  • 5/5 from Susan Morris, attended Nov 2025: This was a gift to me for my birthday. Having never attended a master class before I wasn't sure what to expect. It was 2 hrs of eating great pizza with some excellent knowledge given on the history behind pizza and the art of making a great Neapolitan Puzza. Mario was the Master and he was very engaging throughout. It was a relaxed atmosphere with 6 others. We had some lovely starters brought to us with plenty refills for drinks and then we had the introduction from Mario and made our own pizzas. It was such an enjoyable afternoon. Better than just sitting in and ordering pizza. Would definitely recommend.
  • 5/5 from Leni Rademacher, attended Nov 2025: Such a great afternoon. Mario told us the history of pizza, the importance of good quality ingredients and then hoe to make one. Meanwhile we had a variety of starters and drinks before making our own. Be warned, lots of food and then there is desert. Dry enjoyable afternoon and will most definitely go back to eat at the restaurant

Would definitely recommend this activity - it was well worth the money.

In 2012, founders Thom and James decided to quit their jobs and fly to the toe-end of Italy, pick up a three-wheel Piaggio Ape van and drive the 4, 500km back to London, learning all they could about the true art of pizza making.
In 2023, they built an even more ridiculous pizza wagon – THE PIZZA VESPA -- and took part in a 10-day trip, visiting the icons of the Napoli pizza scene, as well as suppliers and friends they have made over the last 10 years.
