I have been involved in photography since I got my first camera when I was 8 years old. Then, the art high school and later the Academy of Art taught me how to best explore the 'secrets' of this medium.
I've lived in Edinburgh for almost 20 years and a big part of that was photographing the city and the rest of Scotland. I was doing it initially on negatives and then digitally.
At the beginning of 2023 I decided to return to this beautiful place called darkroom and use as little new technology as possible to blend into the red light... and so a darkroom space was created on this occasion and I am ready to share my knowledge.
''shoot, process, develop, print'' that is the motto
If you are ready to learn the secrets of taking photos on black and white film, then feel invited. During my workshops we will mainly focus on photos and images. The camera is only a tool to achieve the best possible result.
Small and medium format, large format camera, photographic emulsion, pinhole camera, Polaroid and many other interesting ways of recording images.
