I’m Jude, the artist and maker behind Lava Glassworks. I discovered fused glass through a love of colour, texture and creating pieces that are completely individual, and what began as a creative passion has grown into my own glass studio in Fife.I love the fact that no two pieces of fused glass ever turn out exactly the same. There’s something really special about choosing the glass, building a design piece by piece and then seeing how it is transformed in the kiln.I started running workshops because I wanted other people to experience that process for themselves. You don’t need any artistic experience to take part – I’ll show you how to safely cut and work with glass and help you create your own 15cm x 15cm piece of fused glass art. You can take inspiration from one of my designs or simply let your imagination go and create something completely your own.My workshops are relaxed, friendly and hands-on. I want everyone to leave feeling proud of what they’ve made – and perhaps a little bit surprised by just how creative they can be.
