  • 5/5 from Nici Finnan, attended Mar 2026: I’m a beginner to crochet with basic knowledge on slip knot and chain stitch and how to hold the yarn and hook. I was able to keep up fairly easily and understand the concept of creating a granny square. Leah was a lovely teacher, friendly and helpful. Patient and constantly went round checking everyone and answering questions. She kept the class fun and everyone was crocheting by the end.
  • 5/5 from Kirsty Monaghan, attended Jan 2026: What a lovely afternoon spent learning a new skill with a wonderful teacher! Leigh was great at explaining each step & really patient when mistakes were made. Thank you! We hope to do another one of her classes in the future.

  • 5/5 from Marie Hart, attended Jan 2025: The class was really enjoyable and the teacher was great! Very patient and explained everything really well. Only downside - I was given the wrong start time and I therefore turned up late.
  • 4/5 from Caitlin Allan, attended Jan 2025: A fun and friendly class with a lovely teacher who took the time to explain what to do as many times as we needed. Unfortunately the start time given was wrong so two of us missed the first half hour of the class.
  • 4/5 from Emily, attended Oct 2024: We really enjoyed the class - Leigh was a very patient teacher. It was nice a drink was included and the venue was nice too.
  • 5/5 from Lorraine Stewart, attended Jun 2024: Loved the class! It's the first one of these I'd been to and I will definitely be going to more. Leigh was so lovely and patient with everyone and their different levels. Despite asking the same questions about 20 times she was an amazing teacher. I'm so happy to say I can do basic crochet now after years of trying. Only slight negative would be I wish the class was longer but totally get it would be exhausting and time consuming for Leigh!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Buchanan-Smith, attended Jan 2024: Great morning. Very patient and encouraging teacher. I will book another class and keep going.
  • 5/5 from Lisa Glover, attended Aug 2023: Such a great class, the teacher was so kind and patient, even when it took me a while to get the hang of it, and I have come away feeling confident I can carry on by myself, I would definitely recommend this class and teacher.
  • 4/5 from Jo McGuinness, attended Aug 2023: The teacher was very patient and managed to give all the learners good advice when they needed it despite people being of mixed abilities and at different stages of their granny squares. We got to keep three balls of yarn, the marker and the needle thingy. It was great - I just wish I was better at it!
  • 5/5 from Debbie Small, attended Nov 2022: Lovely venue and lovely, patient teacher. I really enjoyed the class, thank you Leigh, it was a lovely morning.
  • 5/5 from Julia Pieters, attended Nov 2022: Great location, nice cafe and Lee the teacher gave lots of time and patience to us all. Hope there will be more classes!
  • 5/5 from Julia Pieters, attended Nov 2022: Great location, nice cafe and teacher Lee gave lots of patience and support. Would love to see more classes!
  • 5/5 from Angela Boniface., attended Nov 2022: A really enjoyable class. Leigh took time to make sure everyone knew what they were doing. She was incredibly patient and no question was too daft. The venue (under the arch cafe) was ideal. Cosy atmosphere and easily accessible for those with mobility issues as the class took place in the main part of the building, so just one small step. I will definitely be looking for more classes from Leigh as I’m now hooked!
  • 5/5 from Iona Kelly, attended Aug 2022: Leigh's enthusiasm was wonderful! She coped really well with a wide range of abilities and was endlessly patient. She provided a great choice of yarns and it really helped being able to take them home as you could continue practising. A wonderful way to while away a couple of hours and come away feeling as though you’ve achieved something!
