  • 5/5 from Michelle Elizabeth Sim, attended Oct 2026: Class was great, felt at ease. Teacher was lovely.
  • 3/5 from Petra Langr, attended Oct 2026: The teacher was lovely, and it was a good introduction to several crochet stitches. However, I would have found it easier to learn if the stitches were taught through small projects, such as a mini scarf, a simple circle or a square. This would help beginners understand where to place stitches, how to make corners and how everything comes together, while leaving with something they’ve made.
  • 5/5 from Ciara, attended Sep 2026: Great simple atmosphere without judgement. Instructor took time to ensure everyone knew what they were doing
  • 5/5 from Veronica Tait, attended Sep 2026: We learn the basics of crochet.. the teacher was great and very patient. She explained things really well. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the 4 of us done quite well and felt inspired. You can’t grasp it all in 90 minutes but I feel I can take what I learnt and hopefully progress with that. I bought a book for beginners and aim to practice with the knowledge from the class.
  • 5/5 from Sue Harper, attended Aug 2026: Very good teacher. Have started crocheting a blanket all ready
  • 5/5 from Lucy Zeitoun, attended Aug 2026: The class was really helpful for a complete beginner like me. The teacher was really nice and patient. The only thing that could be added to the class is how to use the crochet itself after the technique we are thought to use which is very helpful to learn how the stitches work. I also really enjoyed doing the class in the shop where we could get advice on what to buy. Thank oh so very much!️
  • 4/5 from Louise Reid, attended Aug 2026: Brilliant class & Victoria the teacher was lovely, very patient & explained the process well. Only reason 1 star has been deducted is because I was given a Hobbycraft voucher which states online courses are included, but this is not the case!
  • 5/5 from Heather Galbucci, attended May 2026: What a lovely time we had with Anna. The class was small (3 people) which enabled Anna to spend lots of time with us individually. Her explanations were clear and she went over things when needed. To top it all off we went home with a bag, wool, crochet hook and instructions. Anna was even kind enough to offer help with our future products should we need it. We will definitely return to try other workshops. Thank you Hobbycraft!!!

Teacher was excellent at explaining things and showing you what to do. You got a crochet hook, two large balls of wool and a booklet covering what you learn, which made the course excellent value. It was ‘basic’ which was ideal for a complete novice. I would definitely recommend this course.
