She was a BBC MasterChef Finalist in the 1990s and she started Tara House Bakery some ten years ago. She is now a successful baker and cake designer and wants to pass on her skills, knowledge and expertise to future cake makers. A range of cake decorating courses during the year will include vintage, wedding and Christmas cupcake decorating.

Absolutely fab experience! Bought this for my mums birthday and we had loads of fun. Jane was a great host along with her partner, tea and amazing cupcakes were available for snaking on. The explanation on the skills we were learning were well paced out with lots of encouragement. Our cakes along with others looked exactly as described. Will definitely be doing more courses in the future!
The cupcakes provided for decorating were so yummy, filled with caramel and had a gorgeous buttercream on top.

I had a cake decorating course brought for my birthday and can honestly say it was a fantastic present.
The teacher was simply amazing, she had so much patience in explaining the processes we'd use, gave great tips and answered all questions professionally. Happy to help when needed too.
The venue was lovely and clean and great equipment provided. All the equipment was clean, undamaged and easy to use.
The class was definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to cover a cake!

It was amazing class. The instructor is so lovely and kind and her explanation was amazing. I really recommend the course.
I really like that the instructor gives you the time to practice and even if you did the mistake you repeat it.
I wish she can do another class on buttercream piping techniques. If she did definitely I will attend.

The morning was such a lovely treat. We were welcomed with coffee and biscuits. The tuition was excellent. Jane explained each process very clearly and was a very encouraging teacher. We were all so chuffed with our finished cupcakes. Mince pies, cakes and mulled wine were lovely treats too. I can't wait to join another course with Jane soon!

The venue was beautiful. Jane and Paul were very welcoming and provided a lovely calm atmosphere to work in, Paul makes excellent coffee too. All equipment and materials were provided and all excellent quality and condition. I learnt lots of tips about products and equipment to use to help with my cake decorating. Jane’s teaching was pitched perfect for me, she was very patient and gave clear instructions and was more than happy to take extra time to give you more help and advice if needed.

The course was amazing! We were given such a warm welcome and Jane was such a great teacher. I learnt loads and have ordered all the cutters etc to make more cakes. I have booked another course and can't wait to learn even more techniques.

Thoroughly enjoyed this with my mom and sistersGreat morning. Everything included no need to bring anything but yourself. Jane was very patient, informative and had great tips.
Relaxing & so enjoyable and surprised we produced lovely cup cakes and got them to take homelocation was beautifulwill book again.

Wonderful day. Beautiful location highly recommend. An enjoyable day with like minded people, came away with lots of tips and tricks cakes looked and tasted delicious. Looked to pretty to eat

Lovely morning learning how to decorate the cakes on a wonderful setting. The venue was just off the motorway and easy to find. The host was friendly, informative and helpful. I enjoyed learning new skills. All the equipment and materials were provided and were easy to use. Even came back with 6 beautifully decorated cupcakes

I absolutely loved it. And what a lovely house Tara house is. Jane was patient & explained everything in great detail so as a complete novice I didn’t feel overwhelmed. The hospitality was fantastic also. I will definitely be doing another course, I can’t wait to learn how to make flowers.
