Silver Stacking Rings Workshop

Come along and learn how to saw, solder, form and texture your own silver rings from scratch!

In this jewellery workshop, you will create a set of three textured skinny rings that can be stacked together or worn separately.

Beginning with a demonstration, you will be shown how to make, clean and texture a silver ring. Talking through the instructions and various information and tips regarding the materials you are working with, and introducing a range of tools and a handheld blowtorch which you will go on to use yourself!

We will start by sizing your chosen fingers and calculating and measuring the wire needed to create it. We will then saw and shape the rings ready to solder. Once soldered we will clean the rings and form them into a true ring shape, and add your chosen hammered texture.

Once fully formed and textured, we will scrub and polish the rings, ready to wear home that evening.

The perfect class for an individual or a group of friends to come and learn, socialise and most importantly, make some handmade jewellery to take home!

The workshop will run for around 2.5 hours but it can vary.

Please note:

• This class will need 4 people to run. If the class is under-subscribed, the studio reserves the right to reschedule. You will be notified at least 4 days before the class if the class cannot run, and will have the option to be refunded in this instance.
• Access to East Nook Studio in the Maltbarn is by a cobbled path on the main street leading to an open courtyard with double doors leading to the studios. Unfortunately, we are situated on the first floor and do not have disabled access.

Private parties:
At the moment, if you have a group of 4+ people we can offer you a private workshop at no extra cost per person on a date that suits you, where available. East Nook Studio is an inviting space with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of room to stretch out. There are bars and a cafe downstairs for those who wish to make an evening of it!

Suitable for beginners and returners.
  All materials and silver will be included for you to make your rings.
 

• Bring your specs if you wear them.
• Wear comfy clothes, no open-toed shoes or floaty sleeves.
• Tie your hair up, or borrow one of our bobbles.
