What you'll do
Do you love the look of sea glass? Well, then you're in luck as this jewellery-making class is all about highlighting the beauty of the beachy treasure and transforming it into incredible accessories.
At this rewarding five-hour Glasgow activity, you will learn how to pick out the best sea glass piece for your design, make a bespoke setting and add fixings for your chain. You'll then end this jewellery-making class by finishing it all off, and you'll be left with a beautiful pendant.
You can bring your own sea glass, but there is some in the workshop for you to choose from that has been collected from around the west coast of Scotland or Banff beach.
Beginners are welcome to this class, but it also is great for those who have previously taken jewellery-making workshops in the past. This DIY jewellery can be labour-intensive so expect lots of concentration but with lots of creative satisfaction.
A supportive teacher will be on hand at all times to answer questions and help you through every step, from the sawing to soldering, shaping and more.
By the end of this class, you will have a beautiful sea glass pendant that is perfect for a necklace or a keyring. All profits at Vanilla Ink are invested into a Social Enterprise Program which allows your teachers to help out those that are vulnerable, disadvantaged and/or deserving people.

- Good eyesight and hand dexterity are a must.

Very much beginner-friendly but be aware it can get tricky!
What you'll get
- All equipment and materials needed
- Your own bench with access to all the tools required to make the rings
- An amazing experience plus your beautiful new pendant or keyring to take home!
What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes.
- Keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.
- Long hair tied up (or bring something to do so).
- If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!
- If you have your own piece of sea glass that you'd like to set, bring it along and we will see if it's suitable as not every piece is great to use for this (optional).
