I accidentally free styled (green arrow) but the the instructor, who was lovely, was on hand to steer me in the right direction. A super relaxed atmosphere and having never crocheted I was surprised to have produced anything!

  • 5/5 from Agnes, attended May 2025: Both my daughter and I wanted to learn the basics of this craft of which we are both complete novices. Our teacher was lovely and taught us the slip knot, double stitch, treble stitch and slip stitich. The venue was great and materials were good and because of the time of the workshop (evening) it was quiet. The whole experience was great and had us both desperate to get stuck into this craft.
  • 5/5 from Monika Rek, attended Mar 2025: Lovely atmosphere Girls very helpful My daughter loved crocheting class Thank you
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Moore, attended Mar 2025: Laura and Gam were great, very patient and guided me through each step. Lovely ladies. Can't wait to sign up for another class.
  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2025: Took my 12 year old daughter and her friend to beginners class. 2 other people In class….. 1 was not a beginner so was only at the same stage as the others for the first 1 minute. Other person was a left handed person. This meant one of the staff spend most her time trying to teach left handed crochet to them. When booking and on confirmation email and reminder email, it clearly states it’s a right handed class so I feel the others missed out because the time spent in the left handed person. As a result my daughter only managed to crochet 3 small rows. Staff were brilliant though…… not their fault people not booked on correct course!
  • 5/5 from Elaine Rannachan, attended Feb 2025: Laurie was a great teacher - so patient and explained everything really clearly. She spent time with each of us ensuring we were doing it correctly. My niece who is 9 absolutely loved it and rated Laurie 10 out of 10. Thank you for a really informative and fun crochet lesson.
  • 4/5 from Karen Yardley, attended Feb 2025: I really enjoyed the beginners guide to crochet class. It was fun to learn a new skill. Our teacher Laurie was good at explaining things and was very patient with us. Hoping it spurs me on to doing my own projects.
  • 5/5 from Rosalind Robertson, attended Jan 2025: I really enjoyed the class. There were 4 in the group which was a good size for individual attention when required. Katie explained everything clearly.
  • 5/5 from Elizabeth Faulds, attended Dec 2024: Katie was very nice and was helpful in demonstrating the techniques needed. I enjoyed the class very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to learn the basics of crocheting.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2024: Katie was a fantastic teacher who took the time to give us a private class after we couldn’t make any of the scheduled classes. She was very attentive and encouraging, and was able to answer any questions we had no problem. The only thing that could be better about the class is using better quality wool as we had problems with it coming apart easily. Otherwise we had a great time and would recommend both class and teacher :)
  • 4/5 from Leigh McCarron, attended Nov 2024: Received a crochet hook, Instructions wool and bag. Teacher was really nice and took it slow I did have a little self taught experience and followed quite easily. Enjoyed the workshop
  • 5/5 from Fiona McKay, attended Oct 2024: Good number of participants, who all came as individuals. Enjoyed choosing the yarn, and liked the type of yarn used. A good introduction to crochet. Teacher was good at explaining and back tracking when necessary.
  • 5/5 from Stephanie, attended Oct 2024: Really nice relaxed class, learnt some basic crochet skills and stitches, lovely soft wools and crochet hook provided too. Cat was a good teacher, very knowledgeable and took time with everyone
  • 5/5 from Catherine Noble, attended Oct 2024: Teacher Cat was excellent, exceedingly patient and didn't make you feel incompetent or that you were being a nuisance. The venue was a little cramped for space and the table could have done with a wipe as some of the remains of earlier sessions were on the table. All materials were provided for the class which was good and I'm glad that we were not asked to pick colours but provided with and everyone was the same! I learned how to start crocheting and two stitches as well as differences between British and American terminology. The class was good value for the money. The teacher was the best feature for this class and gave really good advice and useful feedback. It was beneficial that they are skilled at crochet as were able to explain, demonstrate and advise clearly.
  • 5/5 from Kate Mason, attended Oct 2024: Teacher Cat was very knowledgeable and helpful. Learned some basic crochet stitches and have lots of wool to practice with now!
  • 4/5 from Kathryn McLeod, attended Oct 2024: Brilliant introduction to crochet and Molly was very patient with my son as he found it quite tricky at first. Great value for money as you get two balls of yarn plus a crochet needle.
  • 4/5 from Elaine, attended Oct 2024: Enjoyed being part of a small group. Katie was patient at explaining how to crochet and her demonstrations were clear. Materials were good quality. Good to have printed notes to remind you what to do when you get home.
  • 4/5 from Morag Ryce, attended Oct 2024: Host was very good and patient. Small group which was perfect. Would recommend it to friends and family
  • 5/5 from Karyn Hicks, attended Sep 2024: Cat was fantastic and would highly recommend her classes. She was so patient and worked her way round everyone in our group, and even though we were all at different places never missed a beat. I was so grateful for all her encouragement and hints and tips. If you’re looking to learn crochet you should start here
  • 5/5 from Kiera Irvine, attended Sep 2024: Trainer was really friendly, skilled and patient. Workshop was fun and relaxed. Thanks a lot Cat
  • 5/5 from Corrie Gribben, attended Sep 2024: I have always wanted to learn how to crochet and had signed up for the waiting list. My teacher Cat was amazing, the most patient & attentive person. Cat was really easy to understand + helped everyone when they needed it. They provided thicker yarn that was not good at all, it kept coming loose and almost looking frayed. We switched to thinner and it worked out great. I have booked for another beginners class as I don’t think I am quite there yet, hopefully it is Cat again.
  • 4/5 from Tracey Gibson, attended Sep 2024: A nice relaxed atmosphere to learn in. A nice group size. Cat/Kat allowed for individual time as well as group time, which was great.
